TP TEA – Berryessa — Restaurant in San Jose

We recently visited TP Tea since it just opened in the area. Parking was a bit busy, but we managed to find a spot next to the doughnut shop.

We ordered the Sesame Iron Goddess Milk Tea with Cube Pearls, Milk Tea with Crystal Boba, Sesame Cloud Frost, and Mango Passion Smoothie. The Sesame Iron Goddess Milk Tea was smoother but leaned a little too creamy, possibly from over-brewing. The Milk Tea with Crystal Boba had an astringent aftertaste, even after adjusting the sugar level. The Sesame Cloud Frost and Mango Passion Smoothie were both quite sweet, despite ordering them with reduced sugar.

The cube pearls were a first for us—definitely interesting! They had a unique texture that was different from the usual boba. While we appreciated the variety, the drinks overall were just okay—nothing particularly standout.

We’ve had better experiences at other TP Tea locations, so maybe this was just an off day. We’d be willing to give it another shot, but for now, we’d say the drinks were average to slightly...

TP Tea stands out because of how much care the staff puts into everything they do. They’re friendly and respectful, and it shows in how they treat customers. When I had questions about the menu, the person taking my order was really helpful and patient. I saw a customer say they didn’t like their drink, and the staff had a respectful conversation with the customer and kindly remade it without hesitation. That level of care is what sets this place apart from other boba spots.

My favorite drinks are the Osmanthus Four Seasons Fresh Milk Tea with boba and oats and the Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea. I always get them with little sugar, and they taste great—perfect sweetness and flavor. Their boba also has the perfect soft, chewy texture. Definitely...

I am very excited for this location to open. Now I don’t have to drive far anymore. What’s great is I don’t get stomachs like other location does and i have a very sensitive stomach. I heard they have a big whole store water filter which is probably why their drink tastes better and most important is no stomachache for me. I also like that their boba are not hard like other boba places. I saw the worker taste the topping when they cook it to make sure it’s soft. It takes a little bit of time to get the drink but it’s still soft opening, I got my drink in 15 mins and it was quite busy all the time. They really worked fast to get the drinks ready.
