Phở was good until they brought us our coffee, my dad ordered ice coffee with condensed milk and my fiancé ordered black ice coffee. My dad coffee was okay, hunnie gave me his coffee to try, we tried the black ice coffee three times to see our taste were normal or this coffee had no sugar. He always drink black ice coffee as many Vietnamese man does, and never request for no sugar when he orders. We asked the lady with long blonde hair to add sugar for us cause the coffee had no sugar without any requests. When she's back with the coffee she said next time when you order the black ice coffee you should say with sugar cause here everybody when they order this coffee we've always make it with no sugar unless if they ask for it, we just made it as anywhere else does and the customers drink it all the time. Excuse me, he orders that coffee everywhere with no need to say oh please add the sugar for my coffee. That's a very big wow to us, super bad customers service ever, we just ask for the sugar not a sorry or thanks, if you're not happy to add the sugar for the coffee for free then just add it on the bill, we're happy to pay extra though it's weird (cause the coffee always has sugar or milk except the special request for less or no). Not just give us the coffee with sugar then blame it on us cause you're embarrassed about yourself forgot to put the sugar into his coffee then said everyone drink it why complain here, we knew that through your face and your eyes lady. Lucky me, this was my very first time I forgot to take pictures to show it here for everyone to know to support all kinds of business (I'm happy with no pics there now cause we won't and don't want to come back). Not recommended to come here to enjoy the food or time or money. The number one of the restaurant that we've never wanted to come back for sure. Thanks for all the workers there, they're nice and hard working except that lady. If you're the owner (we bet) then good luck to your business. If you're just work there (we don't think so) hope you'll have the serious talking...
Read moreUpdate 7-27-2023 I feel comfortable saying it, best combination chicken pho in at least the bay area, chicken and organs are tender and juicy( most places actually get this wrong and over cook their proteins, despite the chicken being immersed in broth) the portions are generous, the noodles are cooked to soft goodness, the broth is savory and tasty without being over salty, hitting all the right notes. Great Quality and Fresh ingredients. I could seriously eat this stuff everyday for breakfast 😋 Their other options are really good too, you can tell Pho San Jose really takes pride in their cuisine. I knocked off one star because of pesky flies hovering around, I work in the area and I know where exactly where they are coming from, take care of the fly issues and you have a 5 star rating by me.
I really like the ambiance and this restaurant is clean. I usually go for brunch and i get normal phos, beef and chicken. I feel that the quality is really good and portions are decent. The service is pretty fast despite there only being one waitress when I’m there. The only thing that rained on my parade here is that I never knew I was being charged * 3.75% merchant service fee for all credit card transactions, until just recently. It is mentioned on the bottom of the menu in small print, which I just noticed after the 10 times being there, there are no signs at the cash register. I feel this is wrong. There has to laws in place to protect the consumer at the register. I only...
Read moreBeen going here since they opened because I work right around the corner so I accumulate a lot of photos from all my visits. I’m not one to review much but once I seen the cowboy pho recommended on YouTube by “simply dumpling”, I decided to write a review as an I told you so to my friends who prefer other pho spots in San Jose. Don’t get me wrong there are a few good pho places but to fit my taste buds, Pho San Jose is the only one that does this. First off the pho is rich and flavorful. I always drink a spoonful of a pho before adding anything to it. That’s how I grade my pho first. The bowl was piping hot each time I come here. My go to meal is the pho San Jose with a side of bone marrow and a beef rib. I haven’t seen anywhere else around here that serves bone marrow with pho. I have seen beef ribs but never riblets or smoked brisket. I’ve notice as I’ve grown I use less and less condiments and just enjoy the pho as it is so there’s NO masking anything here to compensate for a bland broth. The decor is unique with the grass wall, trees, neon sign, and giant mascot painting. It doesn’t look like your traditional pho place. It has a modern twist to it and isn’t cramped like other pho restaurants. Everything feels spaced out and organized. The service was fast and you get seated down fairly quick but expect a little wait on weekends but not crazy long as other locations. Come try it out! Also they have beers!...
