So I have been here a few times now and this is my daughter's favorite sweet shop! I have tried the Frostfetti, Cookies or Dough, boston creme, peppermint something, and the Toffee Crunch. Frostfetti is a lot of sprinkles and taste like the best traditional birthday cake cupcake you've ever had! Cookies or dough I will likely never order again. It wasn't horrible as this place has no horrible cupcakes that I have tasted yet. However, the cake part tastes almost bland. The frosting carries it but I like when both carry it! The boston creme is another pass as it wasn't horrible just didn't leave you with that "I gotta have more" after trying it. I think I have had Boston Cremes from a donut shop that left a more memorable impression that this cupcake. The peppermint something, outstanding! I am not a peppermint person at all but this cupcake I had one bite and I wanted to engorge the whole thing although I couldn't because it was my daughter's. The Toffee Crunch I got for my husband and it tasted exactly like toffee with crunch on top. I'm not a big toffee person but I wouldn't pass on this one. They are not cheap at $3.50 per cupcake but they do serve up complimentary coffee by Peet's and you will usually see samples they have available to try out. It's a cute little place and obviously a cupcake wars' winner-how can you go wrong?!? Will definitely be back again, and...
Read moreBeen wanting to try Frost cupcake factory for a while now. As I walked in I noticed a big banner stating that they had won a competition on Cupcake Wars!! I was immediately greeted by two smiling faces asking if they could help me? I told them I wanted a cupcake with chocolate ganache. She proceeded to tell me about five or six different cupcakes they make with chocolate ganache. (mind blown!) I was like...Sorry I asked!!, Lol (I only wanted one ... but we all know the saying...bet you can't just have one) I settled for one with peanut butter and chocolate ganache and a Hawaiian one, Macadamia with chocolate ganache. The flavors are fantastic! The icing, frosting chocolate ganache whatever you call it is off the hook good! however the cakes are very dry , not sure why? (It actually made me cough) I guess that's a good thing cuz if they were moist, I would live in this place and probably weigh 500 lb!! . My pro tip is to definitely come by and buy some cupcakes, as they are delish, just get yourself some coffee to eat the...
Read moreMy fiancé and I went here to try a few varieties for our upcoming wedding in the Bay Area. I've heard wonderful things about this place and we drove 3 HOURS from Visalia to taste test them!!!! Although the customer service was impeccable, the cupcakes were not. I tried 9 different flavors and was NOT impressed. The cake was dry, crumbly and bland. If it weren't for the names and decorations, I would not have been able to tell the difference between them all. The frosting was decent, but very heavy. Being a baker myself, I could tell they were extremely overbaked. The coconut mojito was AWFUL! A lemon, lime cake with mint leaves baked right in the middle....they tasted bitter and burned; Not enjoyable to the palette. Judging by the tremendous reviews I honestly thought these cupcakes would be the best thing I put in my mouth. We were very disappointed. I will be taking my business to Icing on The Cake in Los...
