Rainbow Donuts — Restaurant in Santa Clara

These donuts taste noticeably better than most big donut chains. It's kind of a hole in the wall architecturally, but that doesn't mean they don't make really good donuts. It's a family owned and operated shop. Been around many years, was talking with one of the family and he was explaining how they use better ingredients, which I personally can taste. I usually eat health food to be honest so I'm pretty sensitized to additives and excessive fillers, these aren't health food donuts or anything but they could be worse and tast damn good. Went here the first time after driving by the area the past few months. There are a lot of variety of donuts. I only picked up a few for myself. The donut twist and sugar powdered donut (with filled custard that the person did there for me) are really light. These two donuts weren't super sweet which is fine by me. I like the local small business feel of the place and love to help out hard working folks. it's not going to be fancy, but you'll get a variety of donuts with a unique taste. I grew up on Winchell's donuts, now they're hard to find. Best Donuts cake donuts are the closest thing to Winchell's that I have found since.

I am grateful that Best Donuts do not stop making donuts after noon and they don't close until 5:30 PM
