I was craving some ramen but unfortunately this place missed the mark. Service was remarkable. The ambience and seating area were decent as well. The best item here was the wontons. Deliciously seared on the outside and a good amount of meat inside. There was so little of the sauce to dip it. I was disappointed in that. Water and tea were complimentary. However the tea has a pungent scent to it. I was unable to drink it. The edamame was not edible either. I did mention it to my server but nothing was done. I ate one and left the bowl completely full otherwise. Broth on the ramen didn’t have much flavor. The bamboo had a strange scent as well. I took them all out to enjoy then ramen. Large size bowl even for the regular meal. It has plenty of veggies and a few slices of pork in it. It’s very colorful and it was crispy. Ramen noodles didn’t taste fresh and were undercooked. Egg was completely unflavored and it was $1.50 extra. Ordering was thru a QR code. I think we are past that now. It does integrate with their ordering system to send tickets to the kitchen. I didn’t get asked if I wanted dessert before I was brought the bill. I think this is a bad assumption. Overall I think this place has potential but could use some refinement. Music is too loud. Time to be seated 5/5 Time to be acknowledged 5/5 Customer service 5/5 Parking 1/5 - very limited

Being Japanese and coming from LA, I can be pretty picky about my ramen. Now that I've moved to NorCal, I'm on my search for my new ramen shop to get my fix and decided to check our Ramen Taka. Parking: I believe it's street parking but there may have been parking behind the plaza and I just didn't realize. Store/Staff: The restaurant itself was very clean and trendy. The staff were all very friendly and sat me at a nice quiet spot on the counter. Food: I ordered the taka ramen and gyoza. The noodles were thin and a good texture (similar to shinsengumi for anyone from socal that's tried it) however the flavor of the soup was very bland for being a pork broth. This could be my own personal preference though since I prefer my pork (tonkotsu) broth to be very flavorful. The gyoza tasted ok but the skin was not crispy as I usually prefer them to be. For the price I have to say it was not worth it to me and I most likely will not be going here again.

I deduced 2 stars for two important reasons: bad Tonkatso and greedy owner. We've ordered Tonkotso ramen, takyoki, and chicken with tartare. Takyoki and chicken were good. The chicken was tasty and soft. Takyoki was also fine. I liked the flavors. The Tonkatso was undoubtedly one of the worst I've ever had. The noodle they use in it is way off (I'll just leave it for my Japanese friends to judge) and the taste was nowhere near good ramens. The egg was overcoocked too. But my biggest complaint is about the way the owner is running the business. How on earth you expect a single person to handle 10-15 tables at the same time? Taking the orders, bringing the food, cleaning the tables, bringing the check and .... The guy was literally running all over the place. The owner must be truly ashamed!

Love this ramen shop. Expect the parking to be difficult: street or in the back of the building. Weekends are very crowded inside so you will need to wait. Yesterday I had the Tonkotsu ramen which was not as thick of a broth as I expect nor rich. In the end it did make me feel really full so it had to be rich for my stomach to feel that way. The tsukemen was decent but nothing like in Japan with the fish flavor. I would say to stick to the normal taka ramen bowl- it has a great flavor and everything you want. Prices range from $5-15. Many appetizers and drinks in addition to other entrees like curry. Definitely worth trying if you love ramen and want something different than Orenchi.

This place is usually really crowded when I go during dinner. The wait luckily, isn't too long as they're pretty quick with buffing tables and getting parties seated. I really like the miso broth (usually I would add spicy paste to it to make it even better) here. At other ramen places, I would usually go for the Tonkotsu broth but there's something about the miso here that I can't stay away from. They're also one of the ramen place where I can actually get potato croquettes from. The service is usually not too great when it's crowded and there might be a long wait for the check if you're not proactive.

It was a pretty large restaurant with bar seatings which is convenient for individual customers. I had Taka ramen which had a reasonably light broth with good flavors, al dente thin noodles, two slices of fatty pork and a soft egg. I liked it. Also ordered the fried chicken which was pretty good. The fried rice was just so so. The only thing is that they do not take to go orders which I found interesting. Business seemed good on a Thursday lunch around 1pm. Parking was limited though. With Starbucks next door, parking might be a problem during certain times, such as weekends.
