House of Bagels — Restaurant in San Jose

Went here on Thursday, July 7th. Bought an eggwich with bacon and cheese. Ate nothing else for the rest of the day and by midnight I was so sick I thought I was going to die. Worst case of food poisoning I have EVER experienced that took me out until Saturday. Its now Sunday and my dehydration is under control enough to be able to warn you fine people about my experience here in a coherent manner. The icing on the cake is the looks I received from the lady who made my order made me so uncomfortable I felt like I had to leave a tip to prove im not the horrible person her looks made me think she believed me to be. Had a #17 turkey w/ everything on a toasted Asiago bagel. Let me tell you the joy my taste buds received was that of a sweet symphony. The bagel was incredible with a satisfying crunch and the chopped onions, sliced tomatoes, turkey, and lettuce were of good quality and danced on my tongue with every bite. My egg salad bagel had more mayo than I prefer but the sandwich was tasty. Usually I don’t buy bagel sandwiches but I didn’t like that there was $1.50 charge for cheese bagels. Each bagel is almost 5 dollars each so adding another $1.50 is pricey! Is this standard practice? Customer service was lacking.
