This spot seriously needs to step up its customer service game. It's a real bummer when a great store doesn't deliver on the service front. I've made my decision - this is the last time I'll be stepping foot in this place. Spent nearly two hours searching for the perfect piece of art for my home, got all excited about it, and finally took it to the checkout.
And then it all went south. The lady at the register tells me it's marked at the wrong price, so she calls the manager. (The art had a $179.00 sticker on it, clear as day.) The manager comes and insists it should be $240.00. I'm like, 'Wait a minute, whose fault is it that the wrong sticker's on there? I found it like this, so I should get it for the price it's marked.' There was a bigger art piece with the $240.00 tag, but mine was way smaller. She refused to check, just peeled the sticker off and slapped a new one for $240.00 without batting an eye.
Her attitude was the last straw. I walked away, a complete waste of time. That lady needs some serious customer service training, and so does the rest of the staff. I'm pretty sure this isn't their store policy.
As much as I love HomeGoods, I won't be returning to this location. This isn't my first bad experience here - I had a similar issue a while back. HomeGoods, if you want to keep customers coming back, you need to train your staff better and maybe consider a new manager. Your business is only as good as the way you treat...
Read moreHad a very disappointing experience here recently. I wanted to purchase some dish towels. A pair were in original packaging . And another pair was without packaging but one had a handmade label with a price. When I went to check out the clerk said there should have only been 1 towel in the packaging , not 2. And the other towel with the handmade label was wrong. I wanted all 4 towels. Instead of getting them for $16, they said it would be $32. They said they have to charge what the price that is in the system, not how it is packaged. And not if it even has a handmade tag made by the store. With that policy, they could change the price at the register for anything. I called the customer service number, and they confirmed that is the store policy. He said he would ask the store manager to call me. I was told it could take a day or two. It's been well over a week and no call yet. This policy is not very customer friendly. There were many delays at the counter while I was trying to get this sorted out. Felt like I stood there a half hour. Very...
Read moreMy daughters and I love to shop at HomeGoods!! From the second you walk in the door there is something new. Their specialty food items are reasonably priced, so it’s fun to try new snacks. Need a gadget? They have so many that if you can’t find it there you might not need it. Great prices on frames and home decor. Our favorite area to shop is pets, where you can get great quality beds and accessories for your dogs and cats for much less of an expense (and usually better quality) than shopping next door at the pet store (they shall remain nameless). The clothing is well organized, clean and well stocked, their beauty items are as well.... but LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THEIR HOLIDAY SECTION!!! If you are into the holidays like Halloween and Christmas then this is the place to be. Gorgeous ways to deck your halls and not break your wallet. Don’t miss it. You have to go here. I only have 4 stars because their nightly announcements are the most annoying things on the planet—- we get it you’re closing in 30 min!...
