****Just so Everyone Knows, this Review, is based on, "A Take Out Order, Not there Food, Just there Service". * *10+ minutes in line, clearly see entire order on counter, just needed to be Bagged up. Place packed, 2nd person in line * To make it easy, dont bother going here. Theres, far to many, better sushi restaurants, in town. With better service. They do have great food, even though, it's the same prices, as all the other sushi restaurants around. This was, just close to home. It's there service, that there problem. They dont have enough people working for them, or even if they do, how to maintain the flow, of a especially busy time, on any given day. To be able to give the service of what a true restaurant, needs. They seem to still be, thinking wise, a food truck. Wait wait.in line. O and if not door dash, and you phone order. Plan to wait, cause it seems, door dash comes first. When the restaurant, is even, still making there food for those orders. As there just walking in the door, behind you. You as a restaurant, need to realize, service is key, to maintain a brick and mortar store. And for someone thats been going to you, every friday and then some, since you been open at this location. I can see, were your dilemma is. Flow of service, is to maintain, an experience, to receive, a Tip. Cause I surely, will never give you one. With the flow of service, that your maintaining now. I felt so bad, for the people eating there, at the time I sat in line. For what I saw, in the faces of your customers, waiting to order, and or for waiting for there food. And, I even saw a gentleman get so frustrated, just to pay to leave, He got up, walk in front of line , forced restaurant to be able pay.Looked around. Like he couldnt believe what was happen here. And then left. Good luck. I think your going to need it, Unless you can fix, the flow of service, you have now. To be able to maintain, The customer service, and service, needed. For the server, register or sushi makers, and even back of house, to be able, to maintain the Quality. In the harsh times, of the restaurant environment. Please get on the ball, cause, I liked your food, only I give, 3 strikes, on any given place, and your, "Out". Quality of Product, Time Management, and especially Customer Service. And Remember, I really dont mind, taking a 10 minute, round trip. To go to another sushi restaurant. With better service. Cause you have to realize. There on every street corner, Now....

If the owner of this restaurant is the same as the Akita sushi on The Alameda, that explains a lot. The owner ran food trucks until covid-19 forced the end of that. I believe he opened the restaurant so they can still stay in the food prep business during the covid crisis. My guess is the owner probably worked at one time at a Japanese restaurant as a helper or something which of course does not make one a sushi chef. Skilled sushi chefs who prepare authentic Japanese sushi go through years of rigorous training. The quality and preparation of the food is like a below average fast food restaurant. Which matches the "decor" and atmosphere. Nothing was done to the restaurant except the addition of a sushi prep area. There are some fast food restaurants that I actually enjoy, for instance, I found myself wishing this was still Happy House Teriyaki which closed at this location a couple years ago. Many of the items are a dollar or two less than other restaurants and if that's more important to you than the quality and preparation of your food then this place might be for you. At least you would be supporting the friendly...
