Main reason for docking the stars was b/c: -- Server didn't tell us what the soup of the day was (so I was going to ask for the Hot & Sour soup b/c it was recommended by a friend, but the server came out with a veggie soup before we even ordered our meal) -- Food is awfully plain, I guess that's why you're supposed to use the sauces that they give you in the little wooden bottle holder. -- Our table had asked for pepper in the beginning and they presented it, but when we needed it later for our meal, we noticed it was gone so we had to ask for it again -- Got the Lamb Szechuan lunch special because I LOVE spicy and I saw that it had 2 asterisks that pointed to a note saying that the Szechuan option is very spicy. But it was SOOOO not...idk if you're supposed to ask for them to make it spicy, but the server didn't ask us how we wanted it.
Parking: Street parking on First Street, but spots are limited. There's additional parking inside under the apartments that are also covered. Service: Meh. The server was terrible, but everyone else that we had interacted with was good. Aside from the soup option, the server presented us with the check when we weren't even done eating and it's not like there was a line of people waiting to be seated. I just get annoyed when they give the check before you ask for it. Best Part: I think the manager is some guy roaming around checking up on the customers, which is good. They are also attentive to your water cup (where they come by and refill it if it's running low) Worst Part: The server. Tip: Don't get the lunch menu option. I was told their dumplings are good, so I would recommend getting that or something else instead. Return: No (but that's just personal...

We chose the wrong place to have a reunion party. We were a party of 7 and unfortunately served by Mr. Vijay!! I think he should receive the award of giving the worst service possible and be rude to guests. Any server would cross verify all the items they will take down once you are placing the order, especially if you are serving a big party. So this guy doesnt care to cross check and took more than ordered items on his notes. When we realized the confusion we asked him to take that item off but he refused to do that!! Dude are you paying for the item? First you make a mistake then you show us the attitude. Soup was not hot, chicken was way too hard ... eventually i talked to the manager who even tried to test if chicken is actually hard!! WOW!! Seriously you can stoop so low? After a long discussion he favored me by taking back the chicken and he realized that since we are frequent visitors he said he will serve us dessert on house. Okay acceptable. Then this server, Vijay made us wait for 15-20 minutes before he showed up with a small bowl with some badly looking frozen ice cream with a scoop for 7 people and kept it and left. What? You mean 7 people can have dessert from a bowl of some expired ice cream? Okay forget that, do you have the courtesy to ask if anyone needs a dessert menu or anything else? Instead he prefers to show his attitude to us. Manager on duty( evening of 10/14) and Mr. Vijay are unfit to work in hospitality industry. Worst restaurant experience i ever got at any place.
Please save your money and taste buds and rather go to Red Hot Chilli Pepper for Pan Asian Cuisine. Highly not recommended. This place...
Read moreWe had a horrible experience at this River Oaks Pl location today. We checked the corporate website for the hours and saw that Happy Hour was until 7pm, so we were planning on getting to the restaurant between 6:30pm-6:45pm. We got there before 6:30pm and ordered a few dishes. Then we wanted to order one more item just after 6:30pm and we were told Happy Hour is over. When first ordering, the waitress didn't tell us that Happy Hour was about to end in whatever minutes. When we alerted the staff to the company website' Happy Hour time, the staff told us that Google shows Happy Hour is through 6:30pm. Shouldn't the company website be accurate or at least honored? Then we asked to speak with a manager, and we were told the manager is off. Then the staff said a manager is on the way. We sat around and waited an additional 15 or so minutes before finally paying and asking again to speak with a manager. We were told to wait more because the manager was on the way. We don't understand why and how a restaurant is operating without a supervisor or manager on site? The staff said they don't have the authority to discount 25% on one dish - maybe $3-4 in total. The price didn't even matter by the end. The fact that no one took accountability, there were no apologies and no one present with any "authority"...it was a...
