I booked my hotel on the 24th and called twice right after to check in as a courtesy to let them know that we would be checking in at the 3 in the morning and they said it was okay. Upon arrival the guy at the desk said he had to re I state it and there would be late charges and we explained to him that we called to check in with them and he straight up told us he didn’t care because no one told him anything about it and there was nothing that he was going to do about it at that point. Me and my partner were in shock at how rude he was towards us. We told him we wanted a manager and he said he would tell a manager but there was nothing he was going to do for us at that point and he he said again that it wasn’t his problem because no one let him know so that was on us. My perspective and experience of the hotel was ruined because I’ve stayed there before and have always been treated amazing but this just ruined it all. We avoided the desk at all cost and upon checking out on the 26th at 3am he was up there and we felt like crap being up there because we did not want to see him again. That issue needs to be addressed with him, he should not treat anyone like that knowing that they’re a paying guest. For as much as I loved the hotel and the convenience of it being close to the stadium and view, I probably will not be staying...
Read moreI stay here once or twice a month for business & personal plans.
The good: Staff is helpful & responsive. Value is excellent; I use the kitchenette in the room to prepare dinner & the hotel provides one of the best hotel hot breakfasts around, which together offset the cost of getting a studio suite rather than a basic hotel room elsewhere.
The rooms are always beautifully appointed, perfectly clean, and pleasant all around. The kitchenette is stocked with everything necessary to prepare & serve a simple meal. The plaza side is quieter, but my upper floor street side rooms have not been excessively noisy even during rush hour. (Never been in a lower floor street side room.)
The bad: This location has been plagued with minor maintenance issues. About half the rooms I've been in don't have a working ice maker in the freezer, so we have to go down to the front desk to get a bin of ice for the evening. Similar with toilets that run if you don't wiggle the handle. Once we had a room which had no working electric outlets. Giving the staff credit, they responded immediately and took excellent care of us, getting us moved into a new (problem-free) room without delay.
Overall, I recommend this location. The minor issues have been very much outweighed by the excellence...
Read moreWe usually stay in airbnbs when we travel but decided to try out a hotel this time due to daily free breakfast and to not have to be responsible for daily cleaning tasks while on vacation. After staying here I can say that we will probably go back to airbnbs. I didn't realize that its no longer the norm since covid to have your room cleaned and linens and towels refreshed daily at hotels. There's no room service. Breakfast is ok, pretty basic, no omelet bar. But what annoyed me most was the fact that no one at the front desk answers the phone. I tried to call multiple times to get extra towels and blankets sent to our room because one is not enough for a family of three staying for a week, and no one ever answered. I had to go to the desk myself to find someone sitting looking bored on their phone every time and request what I needed in person. The shower toiletries were also empty. Was upcharged for a room with a mountain view but our view was looking straight into an apartment complex. Overall we chose this place for convenience but it ended up not being...
