This placed popped up as a suggestion on Yelp. I have tried almost all the restaurants/food trucks in the Bay Area that serve food from the state of Maharashtra. I had a go to spot which IMO served the best Vada Pav in the Bay, until now :) Went here to dine in. The place doesnt have a lot of tables (3). Looks more suitable for take out. Its a family run joint and the people are friendly. Ordered a couple things from the menu.
Vada Pav: One of the tastiest I have had outside India. The vada, the chutney and specially the pav. I talked to the owner and was told they make the pav in-house.
Pav Bhaji: Very flavorful. Ordered extra pav which are toasted with butter.
Mutter (Peas) Kachori: Nice and crunchy on the outside with a tasty mutter stuffing. Didnt feel as oily as most other restaurants.
Corn Cutlet: Tasty and not too spicy. My 3 yo approves :)
Cant wait to try the other items...

Excellence is a tiny word for the food and the quality. It's a to-go place and definitely a must try for street food lovers!
The menu has limited items, which makes sense granted the effort they put in while making these delicious and savory food items.
I've seen people complain about the so-called higher prices but they forget the food quality and the taste. Judging by the quality of the boxes they used to pack their food, it makes sense to command a decent price.
I'm happy to pay a dollar or 2 extra for the exceptional taste that resembles the vada pav and Dahi Kachori from Mumbai.
Please do join the rewards, I did speak to the older gentleman at the counter, and he seems to be the owner as well. Awesome experience and simply 5* food.

Read moreI love Indian food, but actually just realized I have not touched the surface of Indian cuisine. We stopped by this little shop while in town several months ago and tried 4-5 items here. I didn't recognize any of the stuff I had here, because they're non-existent in my hometown. I have nowhere else to compare, because this is the only vada pav I have ever had, but it's ah-mazing. It's also not expensive! And here I thought everything in the Bay Area is supposed to be expensive. I'd rather eat this than a fast food burger any day. The only thing I'd complain about is seating. High chairs are not comfortable. I guess if you're catering only to to-go orders, then it doesn't matter. However, we are from out of town, so need a sit-down...
