Le Croissant Shop — Restaurant in San Jose

Still just as good today as it was years ago. I love the pate chaud it Le Croissant! It’s a hidden gem of San Jose. They’re not really a store but more so a distributor. I’m not sure where they distribute the bitterly flaky goodness to, but I’m glad I was able to find the source nonetheless. You must order a day in advance since they produce just enough to distribute to their clients each day. In a pinch, you may be lucky and can pick up an order that was not picked up by another guest but best to order the day before. Keep in mind their business hours are 5am-10am so you’ll have to order early and pick up early. When I first order these several years ago, they were $0.80 a pop, currently they’re $1.20 at the time of this posting but still worth every delectable bite on a Saturday morning with a hot cup of coffee.

The most horrible croissants, I have ever tasted, Costco, Safeway... are very bad but that bakery is even worst. First, do not call that French croissants even if they is an Eiffel Tower on the plastic bag. A French croissant is crunchy from the outside and soft from inside, with a great butter taste. Tip: Le Croissant isn't a typical bakery or restaurant. It's located in an industrial area and specializes in wholesale orders.
