Main Street Bagel — Restaurant in San Jose

How is this place even open? It’s a health hazard! Reported to the Santa Clara Health Dept. Mosquitos are flying everywhere, a mosquito was on my bag already when the employee brought it out to the pickup station but the manager blamed it on the door being open. Trash is overflowing, the napkins are right next to the trash and the napkin dispensers are ready to fall. Their extra supplies and miscellaneous things are outside in the customer area and ready to fall down and the shelves which they are on are extremely dirty. Didn’t even trust the area that the bagel was being assembled, had to throw my bagel away.

On top of that, they lie and say your pickup order is ready when it’s still being prepared. The manager is the one who I spoke to when I walked in, all the reviews on the manager are true she is extremely rude and started yelling when I called to complain after about the conditions. I could not understand the other employee’s English (who was preparing my bagel) which can be understandable given this area but because of that, me and another customer almost received the wrong orders...

Recent review: Wasn't able to get a croissant 🥐 which was fine but the bagel 🥯 was cold 🥶 wasn't heated up in replace of the croissant. The Thai tea 🥤was mediocre, tasted like watered down from 🧊ice 🧊 It wasn't the best food experience that I was expecting. Blossom Hill Main St. Bagel is better. Keep in mind, these places are usually franchised so it's a little different from location to location.

Customer service was amazing 👏. From the person who took our order to the chef's making our food, were all pleasant 😀. Ate there and enjoyed our delicious food!!!

I was looking forward to enjoy a bagel breakfast sandwich but I was disgusted with what I witnessed.

While a customer ordered, the food prepper was sweeping the floor with gloves. Being a registered nurse and a neat freak, I was observing what her next move was going to be.

She finished sweeping the floor and went towards the back to put away the broom and dustpan. While walking back to prep the food, instead of washing her bare hands and donning new gloves.

She washed her gloved hands! Yes, the same gloves she touched the broom and dust pan! That's freaking nasty and unacceptable!

Of course, i left hungry and went across the street to Noah's bagels. Also, I'll be contacting the Environmental Health Department in Santa...
