Panda Express — Restaurant in San Jose

I guess there is no option of choosing negative stars here. I think when you rate a large chain restaurant like Panda Express, the taste of food is not the main thing in my opinion. I think I get impressed on how efficiently an order is process correctly and in timely manner, and on the attitude and behavior of the servers. In these criteria, this Panda Express location should rank at the lowest. When I ordered my items on-line and showed up to pick it up at the time it was suggested (7:51 pm on 12/22/2022), my order was not even close to being done. I had to wait for 15 to 20 minutes for my order. Then when I got home and opened the lid of the ordered food, there were missing items. I called the place to talked to someone about it, and no one answered the phone. I made number of attempts, but nobody answered. Then I drove back. I told a server near the register about the mishap, but she did not say anything, but talked to another server about that. At that time, I was thinking two things. One, these people are ignoring me. Two, there aren’t many customers and why didn’t they answer my phone call. After standing in front of the register for about 5 minutes, another server asked and I told her I had two missing shrimp orders. I showed her my receipt and since she didn’t look like she believed me, I showed her pictures I took when I opened the lid. Then she asked if I was going to wait, and I told her I would. After waiting another 20 minutes, I received the missing items and left the place. During the whole time, nobody said “I’m sorry”. Again, this place cannot fulfill orders correctly, and the behavior of the workers are not pleasant. Not to mention their obvious incompetence. I don’t think anyone should visit...

I knew we should not eat at Panda but against my better judgement, I wanted to give Panda Express a chance. Well, once again, Panda Express did not give enough rice or chow mein. I had to keep asking to fill the area with just steamed rice. (Which costs so little to make or buy) The family in front of me got rice and chow mein and in 2 plates it was heaping but in their 3rd ... it was done by my server and it was considerably less. I was not too excited to pay for the half filled Styrofoam container. I also got some shrimp dish and the server hand counted 5 little shrimp and 4 nuts into the very small box, for $1.50 more. Wth? It was just crazy to watch. The entrees were not hot or freshly made. We got scraped bottom of dish entrees. Being dinner time, meats should have been hot and ready. Needless to say, my family and I will not return. We spent way too much money for 4 half filled boxes of semi warm food. They also had NO ICE for the drinks. Not told till after we bought the drinks. This is a fast and busy Panda Express. Want to complain? First, stop, take a breath, look around and you will notice you're not the only one here. Second, understand your surroundings and you will see there are a hell of a lot of businesses around this Panda Express. So if you want to come around lunchtime, or at the time everyone gets off from work, it's going to be busy. Last, if the food was made badly then no one would ever eat there. For a Panda Express, the food here is made FANTASTIC. Thank you for not burning my food, since other locations can't tell the difference between high and medium temperatures.
