Pink Elephant Bakeries — Restaurant in San Jose

I ordered a Tres Leches cake from this place or so I thought.. When I went in to place my order I said I wanted a “tres leches” cake and the lady taking my order proceeded to ask me if I wanted a marble cake, vanilla or chocolate (I have never ordered a cake like this before so I didn’t know if they came in different ways or not) so I asked her “is that how the tres leches cakes come” she said “yea” so I said “I’ll take marble” she then asked me what filling I wanted “raspberry, banana or something else” (her English was very broken so the communication was hard) she proceeded to ask me what color frosting and then we wrapped up the order. Once we cut it I was informed it wasn’t the cake I ordered so I called them to atleast get half my money back because it was $35 and they said no it was my fault, they made the cake I “ordered” and they didn’t care if it was incorrect and hung up. They messed up my order after I specially asked for a tres leches and they had the nerve to blame me and be rude. Do not order from this place if they make a mistake they are not held responsible and will take your money with no ownership on...

Ordered a cake for Saturday morning and was told I needed to pay upfront before the order was made. Fine I went ahead and payed. I was told that an image that I requested on the cake would encompass the entire top side and that it would be exactly as the image I provided. Turns out the cake I was presented had a bluish tint on the image and didnt cover the entire top side as I had been told. I requested for it to have a white and pink theme and the blue color ruined it. I expressed my concerns to the workers but they tried to blame me instead of acknowledging the errors on their part. They were no help and told me that they couldn’t fix it or give me a partial refund and that I could either get a complete refund or take it as is. Since the event was for that same day I had no choice but to take the cake. I understand mistakes can happen but the way the associates tried to play it off as though it was my fault and not being of any help made it so I wouldn’t order...

My family has always gone to Pink Elephant for our pan dulce. When it comes to our yearly rosca, we're not too picky and will usually just pick one up from a grocery store while shopping.

This year, however, I decided to order a large rosca from Pink Elephant. Well, we went about cutting into it one by one and let's just say we were pretty disappointed to find only one baby jesus! Usually when we buy a large rosca there's at least 3 which is perfect for a large family/group. It was kind of boring to only have one, and now the responsibility of "making the tamales" falls on only one person instead of it being split up by a few people on different sides of the family.

The bread tasted great as always, but i think there should definitely be more dolls included in larger roscas. I probably wouldn't order my rosca from here again...
