Pizza Hut — Restaurant in San Jose

Ordered delivery at 510 pm and the order left pizza hut at 540 pm. This is fine. I live 6 minutes from here. At 630 pm I tried to call. This is where the problems really start. I understand some drivers have multiple stops but just under an hour was a long time. The phone line has an option for "concerns" but when I click on it, I ended up listening to ads from Craig Robinson for 11 minutes until I hung up. I called again and selected "order pizza" and was immediately placed with a person. I explained the situation and they transferred me to the store (apparently it was just a pizza hut call center and not the local store). I was on hold another 6 minutes. At 7pm, I went to the store and explained the situation. The driver was from Door Dash. No idea what happened to the food. They remade my order and gave me a soda. I asked for a refund of the delivery fee and driver tip. I figure since I became my own driver that became voided. They didn't have a manager on duty and was told to visit in the morning (during my working hours). Tried calling. Local store does not answer phone. Communications is the massive problem here. The extra star is for the employee who redid everything. He did what he could without putting up a fight. Otherwise I would have left it at a 1 star. Will never order delivery here again. May never...

In this time if COVID, I've ordered various meals for delivery a few times now. My first experience was unimpressive (late delivery and just-warm food--and, ordering online, the tip was already paid, so...), but the rest of the times were much better. I have no contact with anyone, of course, but the meals are never wrong (i.e., what I ordered, I get), and each tastes good, whether pizza, chicken, breadsticks, or dessert.

Come to think of it, there is one strange occurrence that's happened at least twice. I've ordered (online) the Honey BBQ wings (NOT boneless), and not only have I received the boneless (once) but ALWAYS something spicy! I don't know if their H-BBQ sauce is just spicy or if I've never gotten the H-BBQ at all.

Standard Pizza Hut. Lots of employees. Kinda hard to get to. You can see it from the street, but you can't see it from the parking lot. It's the fault of thr architect who did the building's layout. You'll need to park in the designated Pizza Hut spots and walk down a path to get to the storefront. If it's dark, it can be creepy though. They need more light. I almost gave a hobo/crankster lead poisoning tonight. Oh. Good pizza. Fresh and hot. Friendly employee that greeted me too. Offered me pizza condiments as well. Seriously though. Need more...
