Great food...premium ingredients...good prices. We ordered Pepperoni Sticks with marinara sauce. (Delicious flat pepperoni pizza bread). We split a house salad. (Delicious dressing with homemade basalmic vinegar). We ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. (The Alfredo sauce was made to order). We ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce and a meatball in marinara sauce. (You can taste the homemade flavor with the beef and chopped fresh vegetables in the tomato meat sauce. The marinara sauce had a nice, fresh tomato taste and bright color). This is a hidden gem of a neighborhood Italian restaurant.
Returned to try the pizza and entree salad. The pizza has a thin crust. It is light and not heavy at all. The sauce is fresh and does not leave a salty after taste. The mozzarella is a premium ingredient. It is creamy and delicious. This is a winning combination. You have great crust, fresh homemade pizza sauce and a superb cheese that is a grade above the norm. We enjoyed the pizza with an entree Caesar Salad that we shared. The lettuce was crisp, fresh romaine with "just enough" Caesar dressing, sliced aged (premium) Parmesan cheese and in-house, freshly-made croutons.
The premium ingredients make Ristorante da Maria and their food a step...
Read moreDropped by here a few weeks ago to pick up a vegetarian pizza for my niece. A friend told me about a new restaurant that I should go try. The pizza was excellent with a nice crust and sauce. The cheese was the gooey delicious type and of very high quality. Will come back for the other pizza offerings. I told my wife about this new place and while we were out shopping for Christmas presents we had lunch. The place is very clean and the service was exceptional. My wife ordered the calzone and I had the sweet chicken wings and the Greek salad. The wings were so good and fresh that rivaled any I have had in the past. The Greek salad was excellent and a great option for those on a low carb diet like myself. My wife loved the calzone which had a great crust and it's something she will order again. I tried some of her calzone and it tasted great and was plentiful. In an era of never ending corporate fast food- casual restaurants being cloned all over it's great to find a unique independent family run business to support. We met George the owner and he was very pleasant and made us want to come back. We will be back and let our friends know to check out...
Read morei want to say this as respectfully as possible, but the food just is not good. I ordered the chicken piccata. The chicken was moist but everything else missed the par by far. It was served with penne pasta on the side and it wasn’t tossed in the sauce or anything, just plain pasta. It was super gummy and veryyyy overcooked. For an italian restaurant you would assume that the pasta is going to be al dente and the correct pasta served with the correct sauce. Penne pasta does NOT go with something light and thin like piccata. The tubes are meant to hold hearty thick sauces and for the penne to be completely naked was just not appetizing. My boyfriend got the calzone and it was soggy :(. Overall super disappointed and flabbergasted as to how this place has over 4 stars, Olive Garden truly has better food. I’m not sure if the cook just lost their love for cooking but Obviously my family will...
