I ordered on DoorDash and was disappointed by the service and the food. -Service- The restaurant substituted ingredients from two orders of 74. Duck Fried Rice without checking first. They should have indicated that it was sold out on DoorDash so customers can't order it. They also failed to follow my instructions to make both fried rice spicy and with basil. -Food- The rice dishes were not spicy at all, instead they were too wet and sweet. The Sweet Sticky Rice with Fresh Mango has good mango but the sticky rice is like a tough blob. They should probably put the coconut milk in a separate container. The only thing I enjoyed was the grill on the Pla Muk Yang. This meal was too expensive for what we got.

Lunch time on a hot day. No a-c. Door open. But not even a ceiling fan. Aside from the temp, the inside was very nice. Beer could have been colder, but was o.k. Lunch specials fairly priced. Came with egg roll, soup, small salad and entree. Egg roll was pretty mushy on the inside. Entree was good and they delivered the spice level I requested, was nice and spicy. Only saw one bit of basil though. Not enough for a dish that has basil in the name. Super great service...a very nice lady. I will be back when it is a cooler day.

Contrary to many other reviews we thought the ambience and service were both fine. It's the food that's the issue here. The Tom yum soup tasted strangely very salty. The roti was a flat pancake (not the pyramid kind) but more importantly it tasted like they bought it from 99 ranch and just heated it in a pan. The red curry chicken was all soup/gravy and barely had any chicken. The lemongrass beef was tough and chewy. The mango tofu had a few tiny pieces of mango. Do not recommend.

Siam Thai is a completely indistinct Thai restaurant- by looks from the outside. It sits on De Anza Blvd in Cupertino and in the few years I have worked in the area, never have I been compelled to go there. But a friend convinced me to give it a shot and here we were – a small group of 9 making a Friday lunch trip to Siam Thai.

The place was relatively small (compared to say Thai Pepper down De Anza or Thai Delight on Homestead Ave). We got a seat pretty quickly for our sizeable group. Siam Thai offers lunch platters and other lunch specials with decent vegetarian support. Most of the lunch group ordered the platters while I was an exception going with a pineapple fried rice. A vegetarian Tom Yum soup came out almost instantly followed by the main courses. For a place as pedestrian looking as Siam Thai, I was definitely impressed with the plating on the lunch platter. See one of the photos to get what I mean. My pineapple fried rice was well plated also and the taste matched it. I was pleasantly surprised with how good my pineapple fried rice was (agreed it is too simple a dish to screw up but it was pretty good). With every passing moment, my opinion of the place grew. Fellow eaters were also suitably impressed with their food.

In all, first impressions are not always and not necessarily the best impressions. Siam Thai is deceptively uninviting on the outside but compensate with tasty food. Definitely worth a...

This place is known for its good food. So we went back today for dinner after calling in to reserve the tables. Agreed, it was their closing hour but they accepted our reservation so here we go: didn’t take the order for over 10 min within min of food arriving, brought the bill and insisted on prompt payment because they are closing but also assured we can finish our food within min of payment started to rush us to finish our food as they were closed! brought somebody else’s dish to our table never got our appetizer and fried rice that we had ordered brought the wrong bill with items that were never received initially bring didn’t eating plates and table settings but after requesting brought small plates because they were out of big plates! But then we saw them setting other tables with big plates getting ready for the next day!

Not sure how so many things could go wrong in one night??? Sorry...

Tried this place for the first time. I will definitely be back! I ordered duck curry, excellent but a little on the salty side. Had Tom Yam Kung soup which was very good. Portion sizes are great, lots of menu options and priced very reasonably. The fact that this place has duck on the menu is a big plus for me and they have Thai iced coffee which the restaurant I used to go to no longer has on their menu. Another great aspect was that they actually didn't bring appetizers and entrees all out at once like most Asian restaurants do. I want to enjoy my appetizer without my entree sitting there getting cold. These folks understand this!👍🏼 And there were so many great dessert options, I had trouble choosing. There were only two wait staff and they were busy but still were attentive and friendly. I highly...
