After coming to Super Taqueria over the last few years (but somehow never taking photos), we finally had our chance. This place is by far the best taqueria we’ve ever eaten at. We’re not sure what it is that they do but they’ve just figured out how to perfect the tortillas that they make. It’s no surprise either, as this chain is successful enough to open multiple locations across the San Jose area. Without any more filler, here’s what we order and what makes them so good: There’s always good parking at their locations as they move the line quickly and a lot of people tend to take their food to go. Because of this there’s also typically good availability of seating inside. Like any good family owned place, the interior is clean and no frills, just an absolute focus on what’s coming out of the kitchen. Our typical order is a cheese quesadilla and their Super Burrito with steak. The first thing you’ll notice when eating anything there is the quality of their tortillas. They are incredibly savory and soft, although not soggy which is what sets them apart. They flop but do not droop, if that makes sense. We have yet to find a place that comes close to making tortillas at the level of Super Taqueria and that is what sets them apart. Moving on from that, they are incredibly generous with the cheese they put in the quesadillas, yet that doesn’t make it a goopy mess, instead it somehow rounds out the texture and flavor. As for the Super Burrito, it is as well balanced a burrito as you’ll find anywhere. It is a non rice burrito so expect that upfront. Everything from the beans, cheese, avocado, salsa, and steak is perfect; the amount of each just feels right. It is incredibly filling and flavorful and still cheaper than any fast Mexican chain like Chipotle or Qdoba, which makes it even more of a no brainer to stop by. Super Taqueria is a standout, regardless of location. We’re pretty sure if every city had its own Super Taqueria, either Chipotle would go out of business or we’d achieve something like world peace. And if you think that’s a ridiculous thing to say, it’s not, you just haven’t had a Super Burrito before and you’re close minded. We don’t judge though, at one point we hadn’t either, but that definitely means that you should come and get one.

Went for supper because I like their tacos. At first, I couldn't get past this woman sitting at the corner. Then she sat down and I was able to walk by. Food was good. I took 2 stars off because its no longer a clean, safe, or enjoyable environment. This woman was drinking a 40 oz, smoking a cigar, talking to someone who wasn't there, and picking up food and cigarette butts to consume and smoke. I know, feel bad for the homeless. I do have empathy for them. I dont have empathy for the business owner. They should clean up the outside, they should ask these people to smoke away from the door, they should report this person to the police for public drinking. (I know, the cops never show up, but at least try, for heaven's sake!) I don’t go there much anymore. This is why! Its just not worth it! You can try going during daylight hours. It might be a little better, I really don't want to try. Good luck.

The food was good but everyone that worked there w was unfriendly. They looked very unhappy and it was not a good experience. At first I thought may be they don't like white people (I was the only non-hispanic in the place) but I stood back and watched them all while I was waiting for my order. But they were the same with everyone. I noticed the tip box was empty... I'm a big tipper and really wanted to say something to the cashier's about smiling or something and maybe their tips would increase but chose not to seeing it would probably fall on deaf ears. I tipped the guy who was hanging around outside a couple bucks (he didn't work there) because I didn't want to waste a good tip. He opened the door for me and smiled and had a kind word. He deserved it!! And he was thankful!!! Oh and the tropical drink was not good. I thought it wad Pineapple juice but it was a pineapple drink. Yuk!

You know when you buy food from an establishment your thinking I'm gonna get something good, and worth the $9.89 and although it's not too expensive, paying $9.89+ TAX on 1 burrito is not cheap either! I went to the taqueria on Story and White 2 times this month and I'm very disappointed, their food is often good, but every time I go there the burritos are getting stingyier and stingyier, my giant super burrito, had 3 small azz pieces of chilie verde and i paid for 1 of the most expensive burritos! I paidfor a chilie verde giant super burrito, and got hella rice, beans, and 2 pieces of avacado, with 3 small ass pieces of chilie verde, but more rice than anything. Not once but 2 times this month! So at this point I will no longer be buying burritos from here any more. They charge you a big price, but when you see what you get you feel ripped off, and cheated out of what you paid for. That's why they loose my business from now on. Our whole family used to go there, and there's a lot of us, but after I tell them about this, they won't go back either! Don't say I didn't warn you, before you...
