Taqueria Eduardo is a authentic tasting Mexican place in San Jose. Don’t be put off by the rather gruff looking exterior, the food makes up for the atmosphere. One could tell by the other clientele eating there that this is a legit Mexican restaurant. I ordered three tacos of different flavors, while my friend ordered a fajita plate – which I will say was huge. The interior, while definitely low frills, was clean. Service was fast food-esque, but polite. They have a salsa bar where one may choose freely the type of salsa they want and the spiciness. If you are in search of some authentic Mexican street style cuisine, then you have to try Eduardos.

First time at this restaurant. We had just made it for a late lunch special (11am-3pm) that was an entree and a drink for around $10.99. We each ordered the Chile Verde plate. The beans, rice and meat were lukewarm but flavorful. We asked for chips and were given a small red basket and 2 mini plaid paper bowl/trays for hot sauce. Good crunchy tortilla chips. Salsa was tasty too. We tried a red and the green salsa, both in their own way, spicy enough and tasty. We may go back to try other menu items, but only in the day time. As for service, cashier took the order. Nothing special about the service. 1 large bathroom for use by everyone. Clean.

I have recently been coming to this place. It's a good place to grab a quick food that's tasty. Will it knock your socks off to the point where you say: "wow" ? No. But it's not bad at all. It's basic. Which is ok. Although, last time my to-go order was put together badly (tacos). Maybe it's one-off. The pictures show how it looked when i just opened the box, and no, i did not shake it like some cocktail drink. It was perfectly flat from the time i got it to the time i opened it. The small things count too. But, i will go there again.

Eduardo's Taqueria is clean and mostly observing pandemic protocols. A few of the patrons were not and nothing was said.

While standing and looking at the menu, I noticed the cook making meat for some ordered tacos. The meat appeared to be fresh and we'll chilled. The wife ordered three crispy tacos with carne asada. The tacos were well portioned and tasty. However the pico was bland and they needed an extra zing. The salsa bar had little containers of salsa but nothing was labeled so the wife didn't explore.

I ordered chili rellenos. Trying to be polite, I will never ever order chili rellenos from this location again. They tasted and appeared to be very old.

So if you want fresh and well made, just order the tacos or burritos. I would be leary of anything that is premade and...
