5-Star's all the way for Nom Cafe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stumbled upon Nom Cafe during a relaxing adventure day in the neighborhood, and wow—what a discovery! This spot nails the Califusion vibe with their customizable bowls that burst with fresh, vibrant flavors. I built my own with the Sambal-Glazed Tofu Bowl as the star: perfectly marinated tofu atop a bed of crisp greens and hearty grains, layered with just the right kick of sambal heat balanced by cool, herby notes. Every bite was a flavor explosion—spicy, savory, and surprisingly fresh, like summer in a bowl. It left me energized and satisfied without feeling heavy. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming—super friendly and quick to offer tweaks if you want to mix things up. The ambiance is spot-on too: bright, airy space with that perfect casual LA energy, making it ideal for a solo or met up lunch or grabbing a meal to go. If you're craving plant-powered goodness that's anything but boring, Nom is your spot. They have options for everyone. Already planning my return for more bowl experiments. Highly recommend—don't sleep on...
Read moreI stopped by NOM for lunch and loved everything about the experience. The outdoor patio area is open and relaxing — shaded by trees, with plenty of space and a great community vibe. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy your meal.
I ordered a build-your-own bowl with grilled chicken, roasted corn, pickled onions, and greens, and it was outstanding — super fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. The ingredients taste clean and thoughtfully sourced, and the house-made dressings bring everything together. Paired it with a cold iced tea and it hit the spot.
Service was quick, the presentation was beautiful, and the overall atmosphere feels like a hidden gem in San Juan Capistrano — modern yet chill. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a healthy, delicious lunch spot or an easy meet-up place...
Read moreNom is the BEST place for healthy and delicious bowls!! I love the espresso rubbed pork! The chicken and steak are great, too! My favorite thing about the bowls is that they offer either black 'forbidden' rice (which is so healthy and tastes amazing, and it is a rare option to find at restaurants) and whole oats (which texture is perfectly done). There are many toppings and combinations to create your bowl, so you can make your own or choose from combinations they have created for you. Also, their sauces are all made fresh and they tasted wonderful. I combined two of them last time. My favorite type of food to eat is bowls because of healthy and flavorful they are. Nom is my new top favorite place for bowls! Plus the new development...
