Azure Bistro — Restaurant in San Juan

I don't normally leave poor reviews but this one is unfortunately deserving of it. There was no one to greet us and then they realize we were standing there and so they said sit wherever. We are from out of town so we didn't know this is how this place operates. Anyways we seated ourselves. They came over and we order drinks, appetizer and our meals since we were hungry we wanted to get food quickly order. Our drinks were brought in and we waited 50min before our appetizer arrived. We order the bruschetta. Omg was that a joke. It was littlely just regular bread barely toasted with some tomato looking green pesto perhaps mix in. I was brave and I tried one. Omg was it disgusting! Our drink were never refilled and we were never once told what the hold up was. We asked the waiter to please give us our check and pay for our drink and this disgusting disgrace bruschetta! And he said we could just leave. I definitely would not recommend this place at all. Service is poor and by the appetizer alone I can tell you the rest of the food is going to be horrible. Never again will I stop here if I am in the area. And if you live here I'm sorry you have this place here that calls themselves...

Azure has been a location I’ve been going to for almost a year. They provide extreme friendly customer service follow by amazing food service. The foods they serve is quite appetizing and have a variety with only 2 sides they always have. It would be better if they may provide a little more side options other than lays chips and a salad. Their dishes do seem to be on the healthy side and are great with pricing. It usually ranges from 7-10$. I do have to say their peach, and raspberry teas are absolutely amazing! Even though it tends to be a syrup they add it does have a great amount of flavor ( best to get ice on them if I’m being honest) their soups are also good as well, my favorite would be the mushroom soup they tend to serve with their daily specials. They do have the tendency of closing early occasionally only because of catering or other reasons. They almost follow the same schedule as if an elementary/middle school. We waited over an hour and a half to get our food. We had 3 different waiters come to our table during the course of our visit. There was no structure to their servers. We didn’t get asked if we needed refills or if everything was okay. There was only one chef and he couldn’t keep up with the orders. No one was helping him prep or cook. 3 tables got up and left. We should have not been allowed to sit and order if the cook was that backed up. Their customer service needs a lot of work. Not because they were rude but because they need more structure. With all that being said, the food was very good. We were so hungry that we devoured the eggs Benedict, waffle and steak and eggs. I hope the owner is able to take this feedback.
