"Thank you for curing me of my ridiculous obsessions with..."
Lots of good reviews led me to want to indulge my need for an El Nino Margarita.
20 years ago I had a Chili's down the street from my house. We used to go really often. Also when we traveled... There was a Chili's across the street from the hotel we were often at.
Chili's left my area over a decade ago and my favorite margaritas went with them.
Arriving in San Juan... There seems to be several Chili's. So we decided to stop in at this location.
In the mall, just off the food court. No wait to get in. Our server was along pretty quickly and took our order. The space is clean and well lit, but smaller than I would have expected.
My El Nino was nothing like I remembered. "Well that's a bummer."
My nachos were pretty bad. The steak was over cooked rubber and the cheese had been burnt to the point of being like ash. The pico and jalapenos couldn't save it. Ate a few chips and gave up.
Lee's loaded boneless wings were awful. She ate one and pushed it away. I tried one and really wish I hadn't.

Read moreI usually visit different chilis and I like most of them, but today this one was unacceptable their menu has been revamped and i was happy to try something new but the food was below average and I had the same plate I had a week ago at Chili's in Dorado waitress was horrible she was very cheerful with her co-workers but with customers non conversive not even a hello, forgot to take our order, she brought our appetizers and forgot we had not ordered our food, she spoke nothing to her customers like not even "how was your meal" okay not one word this was very very rude and very unacceptable we decided to stay because we were already there and we were hungry, but I guess you get bad apples every now and again and this one was horrible.. I think her name was "Aitza" like i said our food and appetizers were brought by coworkers so we saw her 3 times and just has a passerby.. But she was very happy to ask for 15% tip...

They just remodeled this one and though it is a pleasant upgrade, it now feels more fast food than a cozy place to eat. Same good food just slightly smaller portions. Waitress was so nice. Service was good eventhough it was very busy. The downside: the slices of lemon were sliced so thin and mixed in with the onions in my mixed fajita. It's a extremely bad taste when you realize the flavor of bitter lemon with peal you just swollowed and not realizing it would ruin the rest of the night making me sick till 5am the next day. I also noticed the food lacked the presentation we are use to. Greater care needs to be taken in all details in the immediate future. Consider serving lemons seperately and returning to...
