Literally just left there and I HAD to leave a review! Though they did not speak much english, the service was impeccable. They made us feel right at home and even with the language barrier was able to order with no issues. I had the chicken soup with sweet plaintains, my bf had fried pork with fries. Both came out together and with not much of a wait but clearly made to order. It was so tasty and fresh!!!! I wish I could have tried more on their menu! I was so impressed that I google translate " who's grandma is in the kitchen, the food is delicious" to tell my waiter jokingly.... She gestured for me to wait and my bf was like I don't think they got the joke.... You know they relally went and got abuela working in the kitchen to come out and meet us!!!! I was so happy! Would definitely recommend!

The food was good but the service was not so good. Even though they're a bit short staff and still hiring, they should still make an effort to treat every table equally. It took my family about 15 minutes to get the attention of one of the waitresses so we could pay the bill. The restaurant was not barely full. It's calmer in the mornings/breakfast. I'm unclear if they have any english speaking staff.

For the last 3 days we had severely disappointing food all over Puerto Rico. We ended up getting so frustrated 😡 with the poor food choices in Puerto Rico that as we finally gave up on finding good food and decided togo too McDonald's that's when we saw Ruben Cafe right next to it. The place is very clean and neat, the bathroom is very clean also. I cannot describe you how delicious the food was, and the PORTIONS, the portions were huge. Easily two people can enjoy each dish. By mistake the hostess gave us the next tables lemonade to us. IT WAS the best freKing 🍋 in the world. All there juices are made fresh from scratch. The hostess DOES 😊 speak English, he was slow but good, and he gave us advice as what to order. Definitely we'll be eating here for the rest for the rest of our stay in Puerto...

Lechoncito’s was absolutely fantastic! The chuleta can can was cooked to perfection—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. The carne guisada was tender and savory, and the mofongo was spot on. We also loved the Picadera, everything tasted homemade and authentic. Portions were generous, the service was warm, and the whole place had such a welcoming vibe.
