Meme’s Smok’n BBQ — Restaurant in San Juan

The chicken is awesome, fajitas are good I would give it a better seasoning but they still taste good especially after you add pico de gallo or your favorite sauce. The charro beans are very good. The potato salad is a thing that i have issues with many restaurants or food places around here.. Their potato salad is still better than rudy's, HEB, and other places This was first time there so I haven't tried all of their plates but I definitely will go back and try the rest of what they have to offer The menu looks excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. Thier tables are al decorated with table games like playing cards both American and Mexican playing cards , loteria or chalupa, and other table games. I went by on Sunday (a few days after they opened), ordered a basic brisket and rib plate with ribs, and two sides. I waited about 40 minutes before asking for a refund and leaving. Many others were also doing the same. Food shouldn’t be taking so long since it’s already made. They need to visit other bbq places (which should have been done already)to see how they are operating so they can do things quicker. No excuse imo. They also didn’t seem to care that many people were asking for a refund. I’m glad they were refunding everybody but there should be more urgency to get the food out especially since it’s bbq and already cooked food. Will update my review once I am able to try the food. Went and had a taste for the first time since I know of its opening day. Ordered up a plate from the menu brisket, jalapeño sausage, mac & cheese and charro beans from the staff at the order counter. Fountain drink tasted how it's supposed to and once the dish was served portions were adequate in size. Didn't leave overly stuffed nor did I felt like it needed some more.
