My partner and I went to the Nautical Bean on Parker St. When we got to the register, the first thing I asked was if any food on the menu was vegan(there wasnāt). The cashier was very helpful and suggested the Mediterranean sandwich, subbing out the cream cheese with hummus to make it vegan. I ordered a large matcha latte with oat milk as well. We got our drink first. After a couple of sips, we could tell that they used regular milk instead of oat milk. I brought the drink back and they apologized and replaced it with my correct order. After about 30 minutes, we got our food and we were very excited. The excitement quickly died down when we saw that they had actually just used cream cheese instead of the hummus. I brought the food back and asked that it be replaced with my correct order once again. We were on a time limit and still hadnāt gotten our food yet, which was a bagel with hummus, onion, avocado, cucumber, tomato, and olive oil. My partner went to the register to just ask for a refund since we had been there for a while now and we had to get going. When my partner walked over to the register, they saw our newly made food on the inside of the counter and a worker just standing and chatting with another worker who was cleaning up. I went in today (5/7/2018) around 12:30 pm and there was a blonde gal who took my order (I did not get her name) but she was literally talking and laughing with her coworker as I was standing there and gave me the time of day for a matter of maybe 10 seconds to ask me what I wanted, I gave her my order and then she didn't respond back and just continued laughing and joking with the other coworker. This made me really uncomfortable and made me feel like I was bothering them by coming in?? Then when she called my drink order out she said it in a really sarcastic tone of voice and then started cracking up laughing with her coworker again as I picked up my drink. She never said another word throughout the whole process, no thank you, have a nice day, nothing. I picked up my drink and walked out. Just an overall terrible experience, I have quite frankly never encountered someone with such bad customer service skills. There is a glaring difference with customer service between the two. I found the personnel on the Los Osos Valley Road location to be rude, pretentious, and off-putting. Whereas the location by Harbor Freight have friendly, supportive, and helpful personnel. Not-to-mention the quality of their product is superior. No matter how busy they get they always seem to have a smile. Not so much at the other location. I always feel like an unwanted customer at the Los Osos Valley Road location. So much so that I am looking for a place to rent closer to the Harbor Freight side instead of the other location.
