My niece swore up and down that Mika’s Cafe had the best chai tea lattes, and I’ve got to admit she wasn’t lying.
First off, the vibe of the place is really what sold me. The music wasn’t blasting like so many cafes I’ve been to; it was soft, just the right background level. The inside has this kind of noir gallery feel—dark wood tables, black-painted walls, cool art all around. They even have shelves with books, magazines, and fidget toys you can mess with, which is a nice touch. And then there are fresh flowers on every table. It might seem small, but to me, that kind of detail says a lot about the care they put into the place.
The service was top notch. I was even offered to adjust my chai latte however I wanted—more sweetener, more caffeine, whatever. I didn’t need it, but just the fact she asked really stood out. Most places don’t bother with that. And the chai? Amazing. It had this earthy, herby taste that felt way more real than the syrupy stuff you’d get at Starbucks. You could actually tell it was chai tea, not just flavored sugar water.
I didn’t get to try the food this time, but the pastries looked really good, and the rest of the menu caught my eye. Plus, there’s plenty of outlets if you want to bring a laptop or just hang out.
All in all, Mika’s Cafe feels like one of those hidden gems I’ll definitely be...
Read moreSuspect this may be a case of a place offering extreme discounts early on for 5 Star reviews. There is enough decent places around to avoid this one.
Stopped by this newer coffee shop based on the reviews but unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
Saw the pictures of the acai bowl that popped up for "Mika's" Google page and on reviews and decided to order that since it looked great. Was actually served 4 scoops of the Costco acai sherbet surrounded by some fruit and granola. A $1 bowl that I was charged $14 for. The coffee was also pretty mediocre though average priced.
My wife got the poached eggs over toast. Presentation was nice though her comments were, " These poached eggs were definitely premade and then reheated. " Needless to say she didn't enjoy the meal.
They did a good job dressing up the run down place up nicely but this is really a 3 star place that found a way to stack the deck in their favor.
Came out of the place feeling pretty frustrated and more than a...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews, but I was pretty let down by this place. I just wanted to pass by a coffee shop for a drink and snack since I was hungry, and I chose this place since it had 5 stars and looked decent. I got an iced vanilla latte and an everything bagel with cream cheese to-go. The drink came out pretty quick, but I had to remind the lady about my bagel since I thought they forgot about my order. she said they were busy back there which I understand, and she said 5 more minutes to put the cream cheese on. Many more people received their drinks and food before I did. My receipt said I ordered at 1:34pm and a kid finally brought my bagel at 2:00pm… I’m usually a patient and understanding person but 26 minutes for a basic bagel is a little unreasonable. Nice people & atmosphere, and the food/drink was alright. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to others and it was a...
