UPDATE: I received an email a few days after my initial order asking for feedback. I filled it out and at the end it asked if I wanted a call back, I selected YES. 4 months later, never got a call back. Go figure.
ORIGINAL POST: This was at the new San Marcos location. I put in an order for pickup for mac and cheese to serve 12 people for a birthday party. This was submitted at around 6AM for 3:30PM today. Well ahead of time. I show up and the woman at the front told me they didn't have my order. I provide the details of my order and she goes to the back to check then comes back and asks if I'm sure it was for this location. I confirm again then she goes back again. She comes back with the smallest cup of Mac and cheese they serve. I, again, state that this was an order for 12 people. She rudely takes the bag from my hand without saying a word. She comes back with a slightly bigger cup and I'm just in shock. I again ask her if this is for 12 people. She says yes then rudely disregards me. At this point I am not sure even sure what else to say. I should have asked for a manager in hindsight. It completely caught me off guard. I've never experienced this level of unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. Safe to say I will not...
Read moreMy final take out order from Panera. My wife is not a technical wizard and placed the order. In attempting to change the pickup time to be later than the default something happened in the app and the order “disappeared”. I was able to recover it but it defaulted to being ready in 10 minutes. I raced over to the restaurant and clicked on “I’m here”. The app reported an error and said to call the restaurant. I did and was told they had my order and it would be brought to the car as identified. I read some articles on my phone while I waited. It seemed to be taking a bit long but I’m patient and thought maybe my wife was successful in pushing back the pickup time. After 30 minutes (did I mention I’m patient) I called again. My order had been sitting there since the first call. When I asked what happened I was told it was a computer glitch and they didn’t know I was there. I told him the app told me of the glitch and that’s why I called 30 minutes ago. The response - “Sorry about that.” People don’t judge a business by the fact that a problem occurs. They judge the business by how it responds to a problem. Panera feels it’s okay that I...
Read morePanera is my favorite comfort food restaurant, but the manager at this location is MEANNN!! I just listened to him yell at one of his employees in the middle of the restaurant! That is so disrespectful!!! And the last time I was here, my frozen drink was the wrong size, so I asked them to fix it, and for a free bakery item ("Accuracy Matters, your order should be correct every time, if it's not, we'll fix it right away, and give you a free treat for your trouble. Just let an associate know.") But he refused to fix it, and instead offered a treat as the price difference. Ok, fine. But when I asked for a bakery treat "for my trouble", I had to explain to HIM the store policy that is clearly printed on every single receipt. Today, when my baguette came out with my food, it was cold. So I asked them to warm it up at the front counter. the manager I'm talking about told me: "Just stick it in the microwave over there", and pointed across the restaurant, clearly done with our conversation. If I wanted to microwave my bread, I wouldn't be at Panera. Please improve on your manager relation skills. This is...
