Walking around and exploring the downtown of San Mateo I found this small beautiful place - 3 Bees Coffee right on the corner of busy 3rd and B Street!
Wow! Opposite on the street is a Peetās coffee place and I thought how in world they are so close to each other coexist!
I love to explore and I walk inside. And I tell you the vibe, the atmosphere, the calmness invite me in and Iām no longer worried about how this small coffee shop exists so close to a big known place! Itās my first time in 3Bees Coffee, and Iām so glad I found it!
The place is small, but very inviting and people come here not only to relax, and work (like me :) ) with a cup of wonderful foamy cappuccino, but also to play games! Iāll take that as a good option - next time Iāll come with my friend and a game, but today Iām with my computer.
The roads outside are wet and the heavy rain is promised to start again any minute, but you can definitely enjoy the inside with a wide smile on the foamy cappuccino, or breakfast items, and other small sweets, or you can choose GF treats or varieties of chocolates!
The music is making everything even better - I was welcomed by guitar music by Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra, and then it smoothly flowed into the music by a native of Colombia, Latin jazz guitarist Juan Carlos Quintero. It made my day! šÆš
The owner of this place is very attentive guy with a big smile and he brings the real coffees in real ceramic cups to you - and that for me as a cherry on top! Iāll definitely will come here again and hope...

Itās the kind of place where ideas have always had room to grow (the YouTube founders used to brainstorm here!), and you can feel that creative, community-driven energy in every detail. Family-owned and tucked on the corner of 3rd Ave and B Street (hence the name!), 3 Bees has become a true San Mateo staple. The coffee is always top-notch, the food is delicious, and the cozy vibe makes it perfect for catching up with a friend, getting a little work done, or just taking a moment for yourself. And that outdoor parklet? Perfect on a sunny day. We're lucky to be just up the street on 3rd Ave and always look forward to our walk over to 3 Bees for a much-needed caffeine fix Every cup is poured with loveāand it shows. Ā Ā Ā Read moreLoved my experience at Three Bees Coffee House, the delicious vanilla latte and my interaction with Rafat the owner. As a supporter of small business, it was easy to be a fan of Three Bees. Not only were their drinks tasty, I can also appreciate the hard work he has put in over the past 20 years since he opened the business. This place also has a cozy coffee house feel to it, not a institution where coffee is served. This will now be my go to place for coffee, which is open 7 days a week.
Check out the Three Bees Coffee House for tasty beverages, delicous pastries and to support small business in...
