I recently dined at taqueria las pencas and had an exceptional experience! I ordered the filete de pescado and chile relleno, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The filete de pescado was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful with a delightful blend of spices. The chile relleno was equally impressive, with a perfect balance of heat and savory goodness.
The ambiance of the restaurant adds to the overall dining experience. The patio area is particularly noteworthy—it’s spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It’s also dog-friendly, making it a perfect spot for those who want to enjoy a meal with their furry friends.
The service was top-notch as well, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed.

I am sure they use pencas (Maguey Leaves) and firewood to cook it. The meat is butter-like tender and it has delicious bones with it, corn tortillas are tick and hand made. Consomé is very tasty and warm, perfect for rainy days.
Horchata is the best one I have had in my life, sweet milky consistence.
