Lemon gals — Restaurant in San Pablo

Randomly stumbled across this place while in the area and looking for coffee. They're inside the community center which is a little confusing but only took a moment to realize.

The coffee was excellent, I got the traditional olle with some pumpkin foam on top and both elements were ABSOLUTELY on point. This is basically what a horchata latte from any other place is striving to be but will never reach. The barista even explained the traditional vs non traditional prep for olle which I never knew about.

The lemonades are excellent too, and remind me a lot of those little Italian ice frozen cups in flavor

Their breakfast food items are good too, although I do wish they had a little extra spice variety like possibly cilantro thrown in

Tried the cinnamon rolls and a banana cream cheesecake, both great. The icing on the cinnamon roll is quite creme cheese forward but super fluffy in texture

Reward yourself and try the birria nachos (Fridays only) which are topped shredded beef. It is flavorful, brothy, spicy, crunchy, cheesy, and flawless. I had it with everything. Just spicy enough to leave your mouth with a slow burn. I had to use a fork and eat it fast before the textures got lost with time. Don't think about sharing one order. You won't want to. I also ordered the Olla latte with 2% milk, even though I'm not a latte drinker. Not too sweet. Chocolatey goodness with a cinnamon kick. Rich and indulgent. Lastly, i got a set of pastries. The standout was the smores brownie which was dense, chewy and crunchy, a textural delight. This is the best Friday! Stopped by Lemon Gals for a little afternoon pick-me-up!

We tried the Matcha After No Sugar, Dulce de Leche, Tiramisú, and the Banana Extravaganza. We added two shots of espresso for an extra kick. The thick mascarpone topping in the Tiramisu was next-level creamy and paired perfectly with the espresso.

Next time we're definitely getting the Mexican Mazapán drink, now that we know it's gluten-free so my wife can enjoy it too.

The pastries are just as worthy of the spotlight and worth a return trip on their own.

The girls working there were super sweet and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better.
