Since I'm an Asian I buy some food products in this market and they are moderate in quality but expensive like the price range of some organic stores. Today I had a bad experience with their store manager and clerk. The store manager who at first I didn't recognize because she mopped the floor wet and blocked me from falling in line. Since I had to make myself safe I moved out from the very slippery floor not realizing I was already close to the other lady by the counter. The clerk on the counter shoved me out telling me to keep 6 feet distance which I could not because there were two people mopping the floor and it's very slippery. We are older citizens and we should be careful not to break our bones. When I asked for the product from the clerk on the counter to pay it on another counter with a dry floor, the lady and the store manager didn't want to hand the product to me because they said I have to pay it on their counter where the floor was wet. When I confronted them they sounded like I owe them an apology for their unethical conduct in the workplace. OSHA must take a look at stores that put their...

When in the mood for deep-fried whole fish, this is my #1, numero uno place to go to. In the back of this Asian market, to the left corner is the fresh fish department. You have lots of choices of fish to pick from. I only select fish 🐟 from either the Pacific or Atlantic oceans and NEVER from a fish farm. The signs above the fish that are displayed on ice is your cue. Read the signs. Tilapia is farm fish... never buy this fish as it's the filthyist of 'em all. Go online to read why. Then, once you have selected your choice of fish, it gets weighed, and you are told the price. If you agree to the price, you chose the frying heat level. I always choose the #5 fry level. And I request NO SALT. These guys really shake on the salt once it has been fried. I choose my level of salt consumption. I take my fish home and have it as is with a little lime, maybe a salad. Maybe on a hot tortilla with salsa over it. It's your choice. But it doesn't get any better than hot steaming fried fish your way. (I like crunching on the fish bones....

One of my favorite places to shop for all my Asian foods. Plus pick out your own fresh fish and they will cook it one of five different ways at no extra charge. For Under $15 get a pound of deep fried fish a fruit drink some sweet rice or rice and pork cooked in banana leaves. I have a lunch or dinner to go at least once a week. It's a large store with too many Asian groceries to mention. Also a great meat deptment. Employees are helpful and will explain if you see something new. Large produce department with all the regular American produce plus and plus, durian, or 10 pound or less Jack Fruit green and regular coconuts, guava lime leaves almost or much of what I might find in any produce department in the Philippines or Thailand or Korea. You might find more local specialities that aren't exported but the all the...

This supermarket is more an oriental supermarket compared with the likes of Safeway, Lucky or Foodmaxx. It’s geared more towards Asian community. The store is medium size but it carries most of what you need for your daily routines. It has departments you would expect to find in an oriental market like live seafood, fresh meats, packaged meats, dairy and staples such as rice, etc. It also offers free fish frying service. The price is mostly on par with other stores if not slightly more. You need to inspect expiry date of items you buy because sometimes their items expire and they still put it on the shelves. It’s best to go in the morning when it’s not too busy. Overall it's 3.5 stars experience. Please "Like" it if you find this review helpful or useful.

I had a not-so-great experience at san pablo supermarket.Initially, I couldn't find my usual purple dumpling wrap, so I opted for a different one. To my dismay, when I got home, I discovered mold on it. This happened again when I tried a second time, and many wraps had mold. I spoke to the manager, who assured me they would take care of it. Yet, on my yesterday visit, they were out of the purple wrapper again, and the available ones were not just moldy but also expired. It's frustrating to see such a lack of professionalism and a disregard for quality. Despite liking the place before, this ongoing issue is making it hard to enjoy.

If you want to stock your pantry for Asian cooking, this market is an absolute treasure trove of sauces and seasonings. It has a lot of rare things that 99 Ranch or H Mart would never stock. As someone who cooks Thai food a lot, I see a lot of rare sauces that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Some great finds: - Brown Label Megachef Fish Sauce - Hat Nem Vietnamese pork bouillon powder, the secret to a good pho - Megachef Oyster Sauce - They consistently stock fresh pandan leaves - Beerlao in light and dark varieties. SUPER rare find because I can’t find it at Thai and Lao markets in the Bay
