I would like to share my experience today at Mixtos restaurant, where I've been a patron for almost a year, consistently enjoying their stuffed chicken. Unfortunately, during today's lunch visit, the stuffed chicken was hard, uncooked, and practically inedible. Politely, I informed the male waiter who took my order about the issue. He apologized and mentioned they were too busy, assuring me he would notify the decision-maker. Despite waiting patiently, receiving no attention, I flagged down another waitress, informing her of my wait for the manager. She reassured me that the responsible person would arrive shortly.
When the manager finally appeared, she was apologetic and seemed to fully understand the situation. She thanked me for bringing the matter to her attention and took my dish to the kitchen for a remake. However, after a 45-minute wait, she returned, stating that her kitchen staff refused to redo my chicken, claiming I had consumed most of the meal. This assertion was untrue and incredibly disappointing. If I had consumed my meal, why would the manager have taken my dish to the kitchen? Unfortunately, resolving the issue became a significant ordeal when my husband told the manager that he wasn’t going to pay for a meal I never ate. His usual meal and his mom’s meal was as usual, delicious.
Eventually, the manager contacted someone by phone who agreed to remove my meal from the bill. I wasn't trying to get a free meal; I was hungry and wanted a properly cooked dish. However, the handling of the situation was far from satisfactory. The experience left me on the verge of tears, as it seemed no one remembered the details of my order before it went back to the kitchen. They should review their cameras.
Having referred numerous people to this establishment without a single complaint, I found it disheartening that, in this instance, the staff seemed indifferent to the outcome of my grievance due to their extremely busy shift. This is not the appropriate way to address customer concerns and is truly...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. Out of the 4 plates we order, one was good. I’m writing this to possibly save someone from food poisoning. We ordered a hamburger for my kids and everyone at the table tasted it. We all figured it was seasoned with some sort of citrus like seasoning. The kids refused to eat it. They picked at it and at the bread and bacon we added to it. I asked the waiter if they seasoned the meat with lemon and he went and asked the cook, he came back and told us no. So I told him that the meat was more than likely bad. He took the plates and whispered to the other waitress that the kids ate it. But the kids shared it so it was cut in half in two different plates so no they did not eat it. When my husband went to pay the waiter told him that since they had eaten half of it he had to charge it. We left so upset because not only did we pay for a hamburger that was bad but we the service was horrible. We asked for additional drinks and had to ask again because the waitress that first sat us never brought them. We were served an appetizer with no utensils, napkins or plates. My sister was served a mofongo and it was good but cold so they took it back. After 30 minutes we canceled it because we were already all sharing food and she was no longer hungry. When we first walked it the vibe was so weird. The waitress asked us how many we were and then left. Waived us over with her head and we sat at a wet table and waited a while to get menus. The restaurant has a shortage on menus. We were asked before we ordered if they could have the menus back. I did notice another party had arrived after and did have menus at their table. I just kindly replied that we had not ordered yet. It was probably the worst experience we have had so far and we will make sure we...
Read moreHave to say I am a bit disappointed. Was with my family and we all ordered at the same time yet when the food did arrive it was only two plates. 20 minutes later and there is still a plate missing. My family member and I were starting to joke around that they forgot her food. Then we ask and it was true. They had forgotten to place the order for the plate, yet they didn't question or check the kitchen? We didn't ask when the food was coming because this is not a fast food. We thought the food was just taking time. And when the waiter comes and confirmes that they had not placed the order, they tell us its coming in 20 more minutes? Obviously we were furious, especially when we were all hungry and one of us didn't eat from other plates while waiting for her own. We ask them to not give us the food and they dare offer dessert? On an empty stomach? No thank you. The pumpkin soup was unnedible due to its large amounts of salt. They are severely understaffed. They barely checked up on how we were doing. Still, the chicken on the grill was rather enjoyable. But I suggest you call the waitresses whenever you need them because if not they will not arrive.
Not to mention it was hot, no air conditioning, it was fresher...
