JosĂ© was absolutely amazing in helping me after a long flight and riding with a tired Uber driver who did not want to wait 1 second longer than 5 minutes. He was able to bring out TWO entrĂ©es, with my preferences & extras, in enough time to get some good food before I got home (less than 5 minutes, otherwise she would leave soâŠ.he was timed). I really enjoyed the shrimp tacos, which I tried for the first time that day. Chicken salad is always my go to, it is so filling, flavorful, such a variety of texture, and itâs refreshing. I love that you can customize your order so much and that extra pico de gallo/cilantro/lettuce is free!!! They have options for wheat, white, or corn tortillas, and can do double beans & rice for anyone who doesnât want meat (aka my sister). It seems like this is a great restaurant for finding something everyone likes? They even have a kid menu. My family and I have been eating at Cafe Rio for over 15 years now and they never disappoint, Iâm so glad theyâre in Arizona too!!! Itâs better than Costa Vida (the knock off Cafe Rio with watered down dressing, shredded lettuce, and smaller portionsâŠ.just saying) and Chipotle (what is so special??), in my opinion. I go here for fresh, healthy options that will still fill you up and not break the bank or take too much time. Most locations get a little busy in the evening but you can also order ahead online or on the app (make sure you select the right location though!!) and let them know when youâre on your way. They also have a rewards system where it counts how much you spend and then eventually you get a free $10 credit. They used to have punch cards back in the day! Iâve also noticed they send more free stuff or credits than a lot of other places so I think their reward system is worth it. ÂŻ(ă)/ÂŻ You also get a credit on your birthday. Anyways, 10/10 would recommend. If youâve never...
Read moreI'm never one to complain but this has to be the worst service I've ever dealt with in my whole entire life. A family of four orders food from the one on Hunt highway and Bella Vista across from Fry's. They completely screw up the order. Simply asked one of the orders to be chicken fajita shouldn't be too hard. They serve pork well. I don't eat pork so I call them after we get home to correct the situation. Mind you, this is the customer service 1-800 number. Because apparently the stores don't answer the phone anymore so you've got a call center rep That's not the way to be one with your community. First of all, just saying ..They pretty much tell me to pound sand so they definitely don't back up there customer service, their efficiency, and seeing other reviews like they don't back up a lot. This was like almost something to expect out of the mid-1980s when it came to customer service. Simply horrible ...I don't wish bad upon anybody, but I'd almost like to see this new chain in this area of Arizona Just go out of business. And most definitely the way their structure is with their customer service. They're for sure to go out of business. Just saying ...Terrible customer service. That's it.. I don't recommend this place if everything on their menu was a dollar menu.. so I guess I just have to Make sure the family my business. All my employees from Mesa to Scottsdale to Phoenix and including Utah never orders from this Taco Rio ever again. I will give vouchers to my 1,175 employees to go to Chipotle free on my business before. I'd like to see any of my team members be treated like garbage....
Read moreThey need some new staff and better product awareness. I have always loved Cafe Rio and weâve been to this location many many times since it opened. I used to be able to go to the drive thru and order a kids quesadilla (without the sides/not the meal) for a little over a $1. When I went through today I ordered the kids quesadilla and when she asked me what sides, I clarified that I just wanted the kids quesadilla, not the meal. I said, âdo you still do that?â She said, âyes, it just goes in as a small quesadilla.â I said ok and went on with my order. She said sheâd give me the total at the window. I noticed it was a bit pricier than I expected but didnât think too much of it because I had other food. Well when I got home I realized that the two âsmall quesadillasâ she charged me for were each the same exact price as the full kids meal- nearly $5! And when I saw the quesadilla itself, it is the same exact one you get in the kids meal. I get it if youâre not allowing us to just order the kids quesadillas anymore and if you require us to get the meal, staff canât help that. However she KNEW what I was asking and should have said something about how it is the SAME price as the kids meal because then I would have just gotten the sides and drink. Feel so ripped off. Used to love having an affordable place to drive thru with the kids on the way home. No longer- the food portions for the tostada had changed quite a bit too; the tortilla was soggy right from the get go, and I had to wait an ungodly amount of time for 3 items. I hope they choose to...
