Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Something is really wrong with this place. Never tried this place until yesterday. I usually go to the typical local coffee shops so I have high expectations for coffee however in a pinch when I need coffee I will venture into some drive through places since they are the ones usually open later or somewhere of the highway when traveling.

I needed quick caffeine yesterday so I decided to go through their drive through. I typically order a large iced oat milk latte unsweetened with 3 stevias on the side which I did here. I even double checked with the person to ensure it was oat milk since I have an allergy to dairy and still asked for my 3 stevia packets. I pull away and start taking a sip to see if I needed just one or all 3 packets of stevia. I almost puked thinking they must have made me the wrong drink because it was so sweet that it felt like I was drinking straight caramel. I panicked because I can’t have dairy and most places have dairy in their caramel. I turned around and immediately went inside to fix the order. The young lady at the counter was apologetic because she said it’s sweet because she put all 3 stevias in it already I said ok but that’s not what I wanted and wanted to add it myself as stated before in the drive through. She happily made me another one and left the 3 packets out. I tried it again and it was still so sweet. I asked her if they had put any sweetener or syrup in it and she claims all there is in the drink is espresso and oat milk and even looked at the oat milk they used (I’m fully aware that oat milk is naturally sweeter than other plant milks and this specific one there were no additional added sugars into the milk, I’ve tried so many and I know specifically this brand and what it taste like). I know she finished making my drink because I watched her but the other guy started it and feel like he may have put sweetener in it but they laughed it off and tried to ignore me so I left with my overly sweetened $8 latte that I couldn’t even drink. I was not rude by any means and was only trying to get my drink right but at this point I didn’t want them messing with my drink any further. I have had years and many places of my specific drink order and know when syrup has been added. I don’t think the employees here take allergies or medical issues serious enough then try to convince you of something that you know is not true. I would never order from this chain again. Very bad experience and should have just flushed my money down...

I’ve been coming here a year. And the female manager here is a doll. Knows my order just by looking at me. And has always given wonderful service. However the young man working the register this AM on 4/26 was very rude. I always order my coffee online. I walk to the side for pick up orders normally they help a customer in line and then ask the online person their name and bounce back and forth. He was helping a customer. So I waited, he got done and took another customer so I waited and smiled at him and he made direct eye contact with me nodded and then finished with the second person and then took the third customer in line. I don’t order online to wait in line I order it to get it and go. My coffee was sitting right there so I went and picked it up and he started preaching at me not to touch my coffee I paid for. Thank you but if you want to help the entire line before grabbing my plain americano I will help you out and grab it myself. I will be going to a different location I don’t need to be talked down to by a 18 year old at 7:00am on a Saturday about grabbing my coffee I paid for when he wouldn’t do it. If I wanted to wait for the whole line I wouldn’t order online. Give your manager a raise though...

This super cute coffee shop has went to the top of the list on both mine, my husband and my 3 year olds top coffee spot... let me explain. 📈 They have something for everyone!! I get the honey haze shaken espresso with hazelnut cold foam and oh my gosh, this is literally, no exaggeration, the best coffee i have ever had somewhere. My husband gets the frozen fuels (its better if you get them frozen because we feel like you get more in the cup than with the ice lol, the math is mathing) he tries out different flavors or his go to is the blue lagoon and he loves it, and then for our 3 year old we get her a little rockers chocolate milk and she is so excited every time!

They beat out their competitors prices, flavors, combos, and drinks for the whole family. 👍🏽 Something that really makes it our go to date spot is, my husband doesn't like coffee drinks but does like energy drinks, so the fact they have both is a game changer.
