La Catrina — Restaurant in Sandpoint

This is somewhere around my eighth time going, And after another perfect experience it’s time for a review. La Catrina is over the top in flavor and quality. Coming from California I have had what is truly top notch Mexican food, Moving to Sandpoint was scary due to the fear of losing my favorite food. La Catrina put those worries to rest. It is the Type of food you get at a Quinceañera or Wedding that is unmatched. I’ve tried almost their whole menu and for some reason the Beef Quesadillas just Smacked!! The Tortillas was cooked to perfection with a tiny crunch on the outside and still softer in the middle. The Carne Asada. . . Oh man the Carne Asada was perfect. It is Juicy with the perfect amount of crispy bits. Note I have yet to get a peace of gristle. That tell's me they are using quality beef and trimming it to give us the best tasing Carne Asada instead of the R.O.I for them using fatty meet like others. Then we get on the topic of Affordability. I have visiting Family at this time and picked up the bill for 5 people, and I also picked up the bill for 5 people at Taco Time in Spokane and spent less at La Catrina for WAY!!!!! Better food. The Owner is truly serving our community with quality and Affordability. Not to mention he has also served our country in military. Basically if you haven’t gone Just GO!! You will thank me later.

You are even more so on the right side of the law and life if you visit on Wednesdays to order the specialty birria burrito.
