Loved the food! This wasn’t a typical lunch experience. The flavorrrrr, quality ingredients (local whenever available) and PRESENTATION of the salads, Colorado burrito, sandwich and burgers we ordered was a very pleasant detour from the old school Sandpoint diner or pub vibe that seems ever prevalent. Don’t get me wrong, there are classic establishments that I love to visit when back home in ID, but Marigold Bistro has quickly become my front runner of lunch spots to treat my family and friends to. Definitely wasn’t expecting the healthy portion sizes that came at a fraction of the cost of what we’re used to spending in Denver. I was thinking the portion sizes would be smaller based on the affordability of our full meals. Our group of 4 ordered a soup/salad combo, CO burrito, Reuben sandwich & Burger with salads. Combined with fresh brewed ice tea, cappuccino, coke, and a San Pellegrino I think our tab was only 60 bucks (ish) before tip! Seems unheard of for the quality and hospitality so I’m trying to spread the word. You’re lucky if you get to meet up with friends or colleagues here for lunch on a more regular basis than I. Sandpoint needs more affordable quality establishments that are accessible to all. I hope locals realize what a gem this place is and appreciate it accordingly. Am writing this review a month after our visit, so I snagged a couple of pics from their IG page for more views.
VERY good food, so-so atmosphere. We drove the 30 miles to Sandpoint in search of a good breakfast. We found it at Marigold Bistro. We both had omelets. She, the vegetarian with fruit on the side, me, the meat lovers with country potatoes. Both came with a thick, toasted slice of a wonderfully textured country-style bread. The side of fruit appeared to be fresh and hand-cut. The potatoes were crispy and flavorful. Both omelets were perfectly prepared, the ingredients’ flavors spoke for themselves and the cheese was just right. The bistro is inside a large office building in the atrium so the ambiance is, shall we say, lacking, but the food was worth the trip. And afterward I uttered the 3 words all businesses long to hear:...

It's way better than IKEA, for example. One dines in a modern, airy, four storey atrium. The rocky, waterfall fountain helps keep conversation private; acoustics are near ideal. Oh yeah. The food is fresh and creative. Local Evans coffee. The whole thing...
