[DISCLAIMER: Former team member(not this location)'s perspective piggybacking on the recent surge of negatine 1-star reviews] I've been coming to this location for 6-7 years and i have never been disappointed.. until recently. Alex Rodriguez, the previous operator, had relinquished his ownership of this location recently and I believe that may be the main reason of this location's decline.
Frequent Order Mistakes I've ordered frequently on the mobile app at this location, and in the past 6-7 years, the orders were always on point, until recently. Post-Alex ownership, roughly 75% of all my online orders had mistakes. At first, I simply dismissed them as I thought that everyone makes mistakes, but as time progressed, I figured this must be beyond Murphy's law. I went in for a dine-in during the week and they still got my order wrong. To further prove this point, other customers also went to the counter asking for their orders to be corrected. What's worse, this was during a time when less than 5 customers were dining in and the drive thru was empty. There should be minimal to zero excuse for getting customer's orders wrong.
Team Member's Attitudes a) towards each other During my recent dine-in experience, I can hear team members shouting towards each other about each other's incompetence. As a former team member, I view this behaviour towards your own co-worker as completely unacceptable, especially in such a confined space behind the counter. Co-workers, especially CFA team members, are supposed to value each other, support each other, and work in harmony to ensure smooth operation of the business. This should have been emphasised and hammered into new-hires. If you constantly bicker with each other, nothing of progress would ever bear fruit. b) towards the customers Adding to the above, what kind of image are you portraying to the customers who are dining in and/or waiting in line to order? Team members were shouting at each other in front of children in line and heard by others who are trying to dine in peace. This is detrimental to the reputation of not only the store but also the franchise as a whole. Additionally, when I went up to the counter to ask for a re-fill, I saw that everyone behind the counter was busy with something, and this one lady, who i assumed just got started on her break or off her shift, just walked out of the counter, walked past me as if she had no care left in the world. If i were in her situation, I would have re-filled it myself or at the very least signaled to my team members to get me helped immediately.
This franchise location used to be a place where new-hires had great characters forged out of them and put forth in a harmonious working environment such that these determined people of any age can pursue their higher dreams after leaving and do good in society. During the summer, high school students on summer break with academic, collegiate, and career aspirations used to work here and the place was great! As a former team member (I did not work at this location nor was I trained by Alex R.), I used to take joy in coming here and seeing these young (and not so young), hardworking, determined, customer oriented team members under Alex be full of aspirations while serving guests. Now that is but a distant memory and I'm disappointed to see that reduced to this.
Closing statement: I'm upset that this location I used to frequent (more than any other location) has gone downhill, but I have good faith that this is only a temporary setback and that this location would rise to meet the standards of Chick-fil-A in due time. I'm also sad that Alex Rodriguez sold this location, but also glad that he still operates another location (on Hammond Dr) close to this one. The team members are all still full of pep and take pleasure in serving guests, and I will be frequenting that location from...
Read moreThis is by far the best Chick-fil-A I’ve ever been to (and I’ve been to a lot 😭). I started a job in Dunwoody 10 minutes from this location about 6 months ago. To say I’m here at least once or twice a week is an understatement. Most of the time whenever I go for either breakfast or lunch, at least one of the employees working there knows my name without me even saying it. Every time a certain group of like 3-4 employees are working & I come through, it’s literally like getting to say hello to some friends you haven’t seen in a while. They ALWAYS take such great care of me that even one of the managers greeted me by saying “Hey! Nice to see you again!” when he brought out a curbside order to me. I am absolutely awful with remembering names, but I remember faces, so if my 3-4 besties end up seeing this, THANK YOU for all you’ve done for me as a customer and also just as another human being. From remembering my orders, to remembering my love for peppermint milkshakes (and then making me one unprompted when they’re out of season), to looking out for me by gifting me rewards in my app here and there, this staff is genuinely the kindest group of people. The one person I especially wanna shout out is my girl Sam! I always get so excited to see her when I come through, and I’m beyond appreciative of you! This CFA is in a VERY busy location, which according to the other reviews, apparently people don’t realize that (or they willfully choose to ignore it), but nevertheless they have always made me feel like a priority even during their busiest times. Knowing that I’ll most likely be met with a super long line, I will happily keep coming here (even with longer wait times because it’s during a rush) on my lunch breaks if it means I get to keep being taken care of by this staff. If more people increased how much grace, patience, and kindness they extend to others, this establishment would have MUCH fewer 1 star reviews. So thank you for always being good to me here, and hopefully the right people see this so my favorites can be recognized for their hard work and kindness they continue to show me! (I appreciate y’all so much & am super grateful, so hopefully that’s seen through my actions and how I treat all of...
Read moreDo not go to this Chick-Fil-A as you will be disappointed! Circling back as I received a free coupon via email today which has a picture of the operator. (1)Free food wouldn’t even make me go back. (2) The owner looked abnormally young to be operating a Chick-Fil-A. (3) A suggestion to you is to consistently be present until service and subsequent reviews improve……
Final update: I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with this location. It was getting better by ordering slowly yet still frequent errors. I’ll likely have them repeat every item ordered from now on because their error rate is truly insane. The staff is nice, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a good look for Chick-fil-A in general. Napkins are forgotten 90% of the time. Straws and forks about 50% of the time. A suggestion is to hand customer drink, then straw & napkins along with receipt (if customer desires). The receipt is always remembered, just not the utensils or condiments you need to eat food on said receipt. The sauces are wrong 60-70% of time, tonight was the third time in a row they forgot the 2nd sauce requested. Sometimes I’ll order a side salad without cheese and be given one with cheese, but tonight I ordered a side salad with balsamic because I was elated to hear on social media they decided to keep the side salad on the menu and was excited for this part of the meal as I hadn’t eaten CFA in a while. They charged for a side salad and when I get home it’s a kale salad with the balsamic on the side. I don’t know if I’m going to be back to this location after all the upsets. Please, try to do better.
