This is the worst Vessel location I’ve been to, by far. It was a disappointment because the staff made my dish wrong and put entirely wrong ingredients in the menu item I ordered (chicken and grains). Other than the chicken, no other ingredient was correct according to the menu; they didn’t even get the “grains” part of the dish right— they put mashed potatoes. They didn’t put the correct veggies, either, and just piled a bunch of random incorrect ingredients without even asking me if that’s okay. My “chicken and grains” ended up being a heap of random ingredients that do not belong in the dish and tasted and looked NOTHING like the chicken and grains dish I ordered from the other Vessel locations. I can’t imagine would it would be like if someone with food allergies tried ordering from here— they could kill someone with allergies!
Aside from 1-2 good people, most of the staff who work here are incompetent teenagers who clearly don’t care about their job. The person who made my dish was a young blond woman who rolled her eyes at me and made audible sighs as she made my food, showing just how much she hated her job. I will never come back to this location, nor would I recommend...
Read moreI’m a huge VK fan, but not this one. I accidentally ordered takeout at this “other” Sandy location and it’s like a sad strip mall version of the other VKs with a totally different feel. I sat in the takeout side of the line while one teenager seemed oblivious and the other one nicely served 2 people in the regular line who came in after me (there was a self-order screen that was broken and seemed pointless right in front of the register) without even acknowledging me as I waited for the already-paid takeout bag sitting on the counter until I stepped forward and asked if I should get it myself. The same salad I had the other day was similar but quite a bit smaller, and the cookie tasted like it was made a week ago. I love that VK is expanding (more in Utah County please!), unless other new locations miss the mark like this one clearly is given all the negative...
Read moreVessel Kitchen in Sandy is one of my favorite spots for a healthy, flavorful meal. The food is fresh, creative, and super satisfying. I had the Utah Bowl and loved the mix of roasted veggies, chicken, and Peruvian green sauce—tons of flavor without feeling heavy. The menu has great options for different diets (Whole30, vegan, etc.), and everything is clearly labeled. The space is clean and modern, and the staff is friendly and fast. It’s a bit pricier than typical fast-casual, but totally worth it for the quality....
