I recently visited Karuwaa Express in sandy (Nepali and Indian restaurant) with my mom, and we are still thinking about the meal! The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The Tikka Masala , and Naan was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted , rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The momos (dumplings) were also a must-try; they were perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, leaving me craving more. Every dish was accompanied by a variety of amazing sauces that added an extra layer of depth to the meal. The veggie options are amazing you won’t even notice they are only veggies there! It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in their food, and I can’t wait to return for another round of these mouthwatering dishes! If you're a fan of authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine, this place is a must visit!

My wife and I went on a walk and stumbled across this place. We weren’t familiar with Nepalese cuisine, but we knew we liked curry. This place is delicious! I am so glad that we got the meal to go because I would have been embarrassed at the quantity and speed which I ate it. We got the chicken curry, chicken poblano soup, the pork, and the bowl (with butter curry on the side). We got extra thinking that I would feed the kids tonight. Nope. I’m hiding this; they can eat hot dogs. This place is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely return again. Follow up: We have eaten here two more times in the the last two weeks. Still very delicious!

I got the combo/build your own and chose chicken with coconut korma sauce and paneer with the same sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the paneer was so good. I don't think you could specify if you wanted it spicy. It was not spicy. I also got the fried rice instead of plain. We also got an order of chicken momo's and naan, both delicious! The naan was very fluffy, i don't like dry cracker-y naan. My husband got noodles instead of rice and we traded rice and noodles with each other. It was a tad pricey for order at the counter and the food could have been warmer. But otherwise I was very happy and will go back again.

To say that dining at Raj's restaurant was a treat would be a severe understatement. This is not just a restaurant, it is an absolute culinary adventure, offering an immersion into the rich tapestry of Nepalese cuisine. Run by the incredibly passionate and talented Raj, this dining establishment sets itself apart through its unique combinations, experimental flair, and unyielding commitment to authenticity. Each of Raj's recipes to 3 years to perfect BEFORE finally creating the restaurant.

Raj himself is more than just a chef – he's a culinary maestro who treats each dish as an individual symphony of flavors. He expertly sources his ingredients, displaying an intimate knowledge of Nepalese spices, herbs, and cooking techniques. His passion is palpable, radiating from the kitchen and infusing every mouthwatering dish he creates.

What sets this place apart from other dining establishments is the freedom it offers. You're not tied down to a set menu, rather, you're encouraged to experiment with different combinations, to create your own culinary masterpiece. It’s a choose-your-own-adventure-style dining that provides an engaging and interactive experience. This liberty allows you to venture into the unfamiliar territory of Nepalese cuisine with an adventurous spirit.

The food, of course, is simply divine. Each dish is a complex mosaic of flavors and textures. The food is spicy but not overwhelming, sweet but not cloying, and rich but not heavy. It's clear that every ingredient has a purpose, contributing to the harmonious balance of the whole. From the perfectly prepared momos to the tantalizing daal bhat, every dish sings with authenticity and robust flavors that are a testament to Raj's culinary prowess.

The service is as outstanding as the food. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to guide you through your dining experience. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our meal with their insight into the nuances of Nepalese cuisine. It's evident that Raj's passion has permeated throughout his team, creating an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, and absolutely infectious.

In conclusion, dining at Raj's restaurant is more than just a meal – it's a journey. A journey through the wonderful flavors of Nepal, orchestrated by a chef who is deeply passionate about sharing his culture through his cuisine. This is not just a place to eat, but a place to experiment, to learn, and to fall in love with Nepalese food. If you're looking for a dining experience that's out of the ordinary, that challenges your taste buds, and that leaves you eagerly anticipating your next visit, Raj's restaurant is the...

Changing my review! Our first visit - a few of our orders were wrong, but the 1 person working there fixed them for us. The guy there asked us multiple times to review them on Google, so we did, and gave them 5 stars. Our second visit (today) - my husband ordered, and then was told it would be a 25 minute wait after paying. He realized *3 minutes later that he forgot to ask for mushrooms to be added. He told them and they told him it was too late. He had to then waited 35 minutes for food that we didn’t want because they wouldn’t accommodate our request a few minutes after the order was placed. I talked to the staff member, and asked if we could please have a side of mushrooms instead since they refused to add them to the dish. He said “no because we don’t have a price for that.” I went back and forth with him for awhile trying to see how we could get mushrooms. He told me that he would “get in trouble with the owner for adding mushrooms.” I said that that’s fine, that we would just like to cancel the order if they cannot make it how we've requested. He said he couldn’t do that because the food was already made.

We have gone to Karuwaa’a South Jordan location many times and they have always added mushrooms to our order. Their customer service and food is much...

I have waited a while to do this review as I wanted to give it an honest try. I live nearby and was excited to see a Nepali place move in as I love Nepali food and we really needed some vegan options in this area. But after 4 different mediocre attempts I don't know that I'll be coming back.

My first time in was right after the grand opening. A basic chana masala bowl, it was ok but not amazing. Next time I went for a vegetable biryani which is one of my go-to nepali dishes and is hard to screw up yet somehow I got the most flavorless biryani ever. I then tried the aloo matter. This is my favorite dish at other Nepali restaurants and I was sorely disappointed. This past attempt was some vegetable Momo. I figured dumplings would be a safe choice, Momo is pretty similar across the board.. they gave me chicken Momo instead of vegetable, which I can't have due to dietary restrictions.... They are lucky I'm not a super strict vegan who would freak out at accidentally eating meat but if this happened to someone else who is stricter vegan in a moral sense, I imagine there would be hell to pay but at this point I'm done trying. It makes me sad that this place hasn't been what I hoped. I would've loved to have a good Nepali...
