Buttermilk Biscuit Bar — Restaurant in Sanford

My husband and I stopped by on a rainy Thursday morning, and ate brunch. The food was fine. It was tasty and filling, though small portions for the elevated pricing. The issue was that, while we were only one of the two tables of diners, the cook/manager (?) was noticeably unfriendly and unwelcoming as we entered, and said, "Hello! Do we sit anywhere, or would you prefer we sit in a particular section?" A surly response, after a lengthy pause, of, "anywhere". We looked for menus, and a couple were sent over the counter at us. When the food arrived, again, with a baffling attitude, as we were smiling, and said, "Thank you! Smells amazing!" The incident which cemented the experience was when I apparently offended the cook by asking for salt and pepper, to which the response was, "Did you bother to try the food, first?" I attempted to defuse by laughingly saying, "Oh, well, I just really like salt." We were never asked if we would like hot sauce, or refilled drinks, nor were we asked about a dessert. We went to dine for 1st time in the rain (Friday, 12/27th). When I went in, the cook was inside the cashier area never bothered to say hi or tell us to have a seat. I req for water he pointed his finger to the self serve water fountain as if I knew where to get it. With smiles, I kindly req for a hot water to thin my coffee, he said he has no hot water and acted as if he’s being pressured to boil water. No pleasantness whatsoever. Meals were served with no warmth, no welcoming attitude, no exchanges of words. After our meal, my spouse said “food was great and we will return”. The server has no reaction, didn’t even look at my husband. To think the place was not crowded at all and to have acted grumpy was unacceptable. Zero customer service. No chance that we will ever come back. I hope the owner can...

Where do I begin ???Amazing doesn't even come close. I don't write reviews very often but this one I needed to ! My amazing son brought me to this fantastic restaurant for breakfast to celebrate my Birthday . Ordering was fast and easy ! No rush to make a decision on what we wanted so we sat and talked over the menu in a very comfortable laid back atmosphere. As for the food "Out of this world good " I built my own biscuit . We ordered a little of everything from the menu . Cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had . The biscuits were light and well prepared . All the food was hot and wait time from ordering to table was minimal . It was an enjoyable experience . I hope more people find this treasure!!!!!! Hats off...
