I have enjoyed Davison's Steaks twice now, once for dinner, on a Friday night, once for lunch. Both times were wonderful experiences. Dinner was a crowded evening and yet very calm, organized, and supremely enjoyable. The cooking table in the middle of the restaurant gave the feel of campfire with the meat smoke filling the building with the most delicious aromas. Watching the chief's at the grill was nice. The salad bar was wonderful and fresh. Wait staff were friendly and accurate in order taking. Lunch also was most enjoyable, and they offered half sandwiches with salad. I will definitely be back again, and I highly recommend Davison's Steaks to everyone.

Service was amazing. We went in with a party of 10 and Frances was on point. Old school salad bar was ok if that is your thing. Appetizers were good, we had bang bang shrimp, shrimp skewers, and spinach dip. Steaks were good, maybe cooked a little off temp. If getting a ribeye I would recommend 12 + oz to be sure it is thick enough to temp easier. Filet was tender and delicious. The only ding I would point out is the pricing. The ribeye starts at 36.50 for an 8 oz. If this was a price point for a 12oz then it would be a decent value, for 8 oz it is not worth it. The photo is a 10oz ribeye with brussels sprouts.

I had the ribeye steak sandwich with lettuce tomatoe and mayo that came with chips and a dill pickle. I added a salad to my lunch which is $4.99 for one trip. They have a wonderful fresh salad bar. They have cakes, tomatoes, boiled eggs, cheese, black olives, carrots, pineapple, fresh mushrooms, beets, broccoli, smoked oysters, sardines and much, much more. The waitress was very nice and kept our classes full and checked on us often. They have several sandwichs that they serve for lunch.

I showed up tonight with high expectations and unfortunately yhings did not pan out as planned. First i walked in and the place smelled amazing i was impressed from the beginning especially with all the high ratings and loved the concept of an open kitchen so i could see the steaks being made. We had a trainee for our waitress and dont blame her for anything things went down hill from the kitchen and there was nothing she could really do. We ordered 3 ribeyes(2 mediuem rare and 1 med) for the entrees and a spinach artichoke dip. After ordering we proceeded to the salad bar. Plenty of options and everything was fresh including the cooked bacon bits i will say that is a plus its been awhile since ive seen actual cooked bacon at a salad bar instead of the fake stuff. So shortly after our dinner showed up to our table and yes our app never showed becuase it was given to another table who had ordered well after us and it would have come out after our main meal. I want to make this very clear rib eyes are one of the easiest cuts to season and cook, like you really have to try to mess that up. First they were all undercooked one was even cold. It wasnt really seasoned to be honest and all you really need is some salt and pepper especially when cokking over an open flame. This clearly was the cooks just being in a rush it was obvious from just watching how they handled the steaks on the fire. I really wanted to enjoy this place since its so close and theres not many actual steakhouses in the area. The total bill was almost $90 and if we are being totally honest the salad was the best part of the entire meal. We even explained to the waitress what the issue was and asked to just give the cook a heads up so he didnt undercook another meal but no one really cared. I could have understood if it was busy and maybe thats why the cooks were just trying to catch up (not really an excuse) but there were maybe 6 other tables that had people and only 2 people were still waiting for food when we were sat. My overall opinion is the experience does not match the pricepoint and really need to retrain thier cooks or adjust the prices. Obviously the latter is unlikely so id urge the managment to really train the kitchen staff better. Maybe they just had a bad night but i probably wont be coming...

Ordered from here for the first time yesterday for our anniversary dinner. Davidson Steakhouse was a decent place to grab take away from to celebrate the occasion.

The service from the order and the interaction for the pick up was wonderful. The gentleman who helped me was knowledgeable and personable and overall polite and gracious.

The atmosphere of the restaurant seemed very comfortable and relaxing, and the grills were open, so you could see the cooks working them, which is a very nice touch. I only really stood at the front, so couldn't soak in all the details. I will say there is plenty of ADA compliant access from parking to ramps there which was another amazing detail to see.

My husband and I got the same meal of 10 oz strip steak, mine cooked rare and his medium rare. Both were cooked to order and seasoned well, with butter on the side to top the steaks with. My steak was a bit grizzly, but that happens from time to time with that particular cut, still fork tender steaks. What was disappointing was you got one side, so one of us got broccoli, which was green and fresh and still a bit crunchy, so very well cooked and presented nicely. The other side was a loaded baked potato, which they placed the cheese and bacon inside, so it was all melted goodness, and left the sour cream and butter on the side. The dinners also included french bread, steamed onions, and a side salad. We got side salads with ranch dressing, I can't comment on those because they forgot to pack it in my order. The bread was meh, a little burnt around the edges and not rubbed down with any herbs or garlic, plus only one slice about a fingers width wide. The steamed onions were on the meh side as well, they were well cooked, but just missing something for me anyways, my husband said they were okay once he mashed them into his half of the baked potato.

All in all our take out experience was good. Steaks are good, sides are okay, with what they remembered to include. Price was fair, could include two sides though and make the onions an add on, and also maybe give out an extra slice of bread. Staff was the selling point though, very...

First: we had a group of 16 with 4 children between 8 and 15.

Food was good but not great, especially considering the price. Also, when asked about no bacon on the salad bar, the manager said they were out of bacon because of Hurricane Florence and the damage done to Eastern NC hog farms. However, they did have bacon for baked potatoes, at an upcharge.

Service was particularly poor. 2 of the children ordered grilled cheese sandwiches (on the kids menu). All 14 of the other entrees were brought out but no grilled cheese. Waitress went to check, and returned to say they would be right out. 5 minutes later (with kids getting edgy) asked again. Manager came back and said they were taken to the wrong table and they were fixing new sandwiches. Also said there would be no charge. It was almost 10 more minutes before they came out. One of our party did not eat beef or green vegetables. They did not want to prepare a chicken entree (kabobs) to accommodate, though it would have just involved leaving the green peppers off the skewers. One of the steaksordered medium rare was served very well done. Waitress wasn't sure they could do anything about that. Finally got it replaced with a properly prepared steak. This is a steak house! Very poor job of keeping drinks filled and used plates cleared. Brought checks, took credit cards, never came back. 3 of us were waiting at the table for another 10 minutes before our surprised waitress saw us and asked why we were still there. This was the waitress who took our credit cards. We had to go to the fosters desk and wait to pay while they seated arriving guests. The grilled cheese sandwiches that we're supposed to be taken off the check were not, and it took another 5 minutes of wrangling with the staff to get it resolved.

All in all, a disappointing...
