I am deeply concerned how the staff at this location handles themselves while Hut is touting covid-19 safety measures they are supposedly taking. Choosing contactless delivery seems to mean nothing. As we arrived in the nearly empty parking lot to pick up our order that was already ready 3 mins after receiving a "your order is ready" confirmation in the app we were monitoring on the phone, clicking "I'm Here" in the app upon arrival does not alert the staff to anything! As usual, it said "call the store" to let them know I had arrived by clicking the local phone number given on the screen. After clicking it, it started ringing the local phone # provided, but no one answered, justvan endless loop of Hut advertising soundbites for nearly 10 mins. After waiting & looking to see if anyone wd come out that had spotted our car outside, the endless loop recording finally said "if you're calling about an order already placed, press 1, or to place a new order, remain on the line." We pressed 1, but it just cont'd the recording for another few mins. We hung up & call back again to see if someone wd pick up, but after waiting even more, when the recording gave us the choice again, we remained on the line to see if they were only picking up for new orders. 15 secs later, someone picks up, & I explained I was outside waiting & no one knows I'm here, the lady tells me that she is not in the local store & that it was a call center! I asked how I was supposed to talk to the store but she had a rude uncaring attitude, so I hung up when I saw a delivery driver come out of the kitchen door next to the front door, & I yelled to her for help, asking if anyone was inside taking calls & I've been waiting here forever. She nicely went right back inside & told someone something, & when she came out again, I asked if they cld pick up the phone & she said they have not been picking up the phone in there at all the whole time for anyone! Then a rude man comes out who I have never seen before who tells me the reason I don't have my order is bec it's "being processed." Part of what he said sounded Spanish, I couldn't make it all out at that distance bec he was wearing a mask. I shouted back to him across the parking lot that the app said my order was ready 14 mins after I placed it & why I drove there. In a huff, he goes back inside & emerges with my order 30 secs later, puts it into the back of our already open hatchback, & proceeds to COME AROUND & up the side of our car to my OPEN passenger side door where I was sitting with my legs out to APPROACH ME IN A "CONTACTLESS DELIVERY" to bark some more with things like "we are very busy over here, your order wasn't ready, it was being processed, you have no reason to be upset at anything" which later I knew was a pack of lies bec I opened the boxes after he left to check the order & they werent very hot, which they would have been if as he claims they were just finished, & which means they weren't even in the warmer but laying out somewhere to where our pasta when hot must've been tilted bec it was already dried and stuck shifted mostly to one side of the pan bec it was that cooled off! Now he's just a couple of feet in front of me so I told him to get back & don't touch my car, I'll close it myself just go, we are done here, bec HE WD NOT LEAVE or stop his intimidation. If he wd approach me in an unsafe manner like THAT, I didn't want him even touching my hatchback handle! Then kept my receipts & retreated back into the restaurant with them (so I could not provide FEEDBACK w/ the order number?!?) This kitchen person WITH GLOVES now has touched the OUTSIDE door handle at least 2X where delivery drivers who handle cash go in-out all day & has returned to the KITCHEN to make perhaps YOUR pizza with the same "safety gloves!" I have ZERO confidence now in their Covid-19 safety protocols! Now I understand why the other reviewers are saying this place is just filthy! THIS IS HIGHLY...
Read morePlease do not eat at this location they will steal from you and get mad when you call and ask for YOUR money. I placed an order online and when I received my food by delivery it was cold the pizza had little to no sauce on it and was very dry. I didn’t even call to file a complaint. I just took the loss, but when I looked at my transactions history on my bank account I noticed they over charged me by almost ten dollars. I contacted the store and explained to the manager Gary Bentley that I placed an online order and was overcharged. He proceeded to act like he was looking up my order then said well your order was made online so you have to call the online number because we have no control how they bill. (Mind you I was already informed by other people that this locate does this all the time, charge people more then what they meal cost) so I simply stated to Gary I said at the beginning of the call it was a online order why wouldn’t you just say that from the beginning and I also stated I previously heard that this location is always overcharging people and that would be considered stealing. Gary proceeded to argue with me so I finally said I’m not going to go back in forth about it anymore and to just give me the phone number for the website he hung up in my face. I called back to ask the name of the person I was just speaking with because at that time I did not know his name. Gary got on the phone and said I did not hang up on you I put the phone down to find the number. I said if that was the case why didn’t he call me back instead of leaving me with the impression he hung up in my face his response was I did nothing wrong. I asked him what was his full name and manager identification he said Gary Bentley now have a nice day and proceeded to hang the phone up on me again. He was completely rude and customer service does not exist at this location. They steal your money, give you bad food, and bad attitude. So I decided to just contact corporate to file a formal complaint against this location and...
Read moreToday, I visited the Pizza Hut on French Avenue in Sanford for a prepaid pickup order, and my experience was disappointing.
First, the parking lot is small, barely paved, and difficult to navigate. Upon entering the store at 6:00 PM, I was not greeted by anyone, despite the store being fully staffed and having a manager on duty. My order was supposed to be ready at 5:54 PM, but it was not.
I stood behind another customer who was also waiting. At around 6:02 PM, I noticed on the screen that my pizza was marked as “ready.” Despite this, no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed assistance. The manager and two other associates approached the register at various times but never addressed me or the other customer. The person in front of me eventually began to complain because his order, marked as ready at 5:49 PM, still wasn’t available by 6:05 PM.
After he voiced his frustrations, I informed the manager on duty that my order was ready and provided my name. The manager handed me my order without an apology for the wait or lack of acknowledgment and walked away.
I checked my order, and everything seemed fine. However, I decided to give some constructive feedback to the cashier, explaining that a simple greeting or asking if I was ordering in or picking up would go a long way. Her response? Nothing. She said absolutely nothing—no acknowledgment, no apology, not even a nod of understanding. It was as if we weren’t even having a conversation, despite making direct eye contact.
Overall, the lack of basic customer service, poor attention to detail, and underwhelming food quality make it hard to recommend this location. If you’re looking for decent breadsticks, maybe—but anything else? I...
