Winn-Dixie — Local services in Sanford

I called, and the experience was horrible. The girl on the phone was nice. I called to check for a product called Kid's Organics Hair Softening System, and when she repeated it the employee in the background said, 'oh that is for black people' which I thought was very rude and unprofessional. And I now take that good comment back of what I said about the young lady 'Laura' that answered the phone, I asked her for the name of the associate that I heard make that comment and she would not give me that name, I then asked her four more times in which she then stated that she would put a manager on the phone by the name of "Don". I spoke with Ms. Don and she told me the name of that associate is Kerry. And she will be emailing his immediate supervisor as soon as we got off of the phone and something will be done about it and she would personally address that tonight. She agreed with me that it was unprofessional for Kerry to make that comment and I told her I know for a fact that is an automatic grounds for termination for making a racial comment to or about a customer. It seems like they're trying to make improvements on this Winn-Dixie but things are getting worse not better. I went in on Sunday March 7th, the store was crazy busy and there was only two cashiers. Parking lot is full of shopping carts nobody out here to gather them up. This place is getting worse instead of better you need improvements. Update July 2024. Everyone needs to watch using your credit card or your EBT cards. My husband and my EBT card were hacked. I was able to get my benefits back and whoever tried to use my husband's the transaction was rejected. This morning after using my debit card for a purchase was used to try to buy something from Amazon. I don't have a Amazon account, I don't shop Amazon. This stor has become unsafe to shop. Think I will be going somewhere...

Some months later and the story is still the same. The store is awesome! I'm so grateful that it got updated. The prices are right and if you use the app they pay you to shop there in the form of multiplier points .The store is awesome. They remodeled recently in 2022 and made the store better. I can't say enough about the manager Charles. He is always there and always super helpful. I really like the self checkout registers and even the workers have become a little nicer would definitely recommend. I want to add that. George, I think he's the assistant manager is awesome. He's always there. And Always helpful.. I know people accept things about the general manager but I have been going there for years now and maybe have seen him just a couple times. I see George...
