Yabi Sushi — Restaurant in Sanford

As much as I want to give Yabi a 5-star rating, I have to be truthful. This place is great and has really tasty food, almost to the point where you want to keep eating even though you're full. But, sometimes, service can be very slow, and they mess up orders easily. For instance, today we went (myself and two coworkers) and my coworker asked for a Hurricane roll but was brought a Volcano roll. I ordered a chicken and shrimp lunch along with my other coworker who got the chicken lunch (no mushrooms) and the sushi came first before our food. We waited twenty five minutes and my coworker was already done eating his sushi before we eventually had to get up and ask for our meals to go because it was taking too long. When we got back to work and started eating, we realized they put mushrooms in his food anyway. Probably an honest mistake; and granted, this has happened before a few times but the food is so good we put up with it. What I'm trying to say is, go here when you have an hour and a half to kill, not on your lunch break! The good thing is, everything is tasty. So if they mess up your order then it's not all lost, typically. You'll still get a yummy something-or-other anyway, and guaranteed you'll probably really like it. This place has the potential to be that "diamond in the ruff" people make it out to be but I think they have quite a ways to go before...

Yabi Sushi is my favorite sushi spot! My husband and I discovered this restaurant during the height of the pandemic! We ordered online just by searching what was nearby. When we went to pick up the food, we were always so pleased with how safe they were! Now that we are vaccinated, we decided to stop in and try their food fresh! We love that they're still safe - cleaning each table thoroughly between guests and wearing masks. The service was superb! The staff frequently checked on us - we never had an empty glass. The food was so good! We started with baby octopus. I highly recommend trying this dish here! The marinade was excellent. I ordered the Maki Dinner while my husband ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Combo. Both of our meals came with miso soup and a ginger salad. The amount of food that we received for the price is fantastic! Along with the soup & salad, my meal came with three maki rolls & my husband's meal came with five pieces of sushi, nine pieces of sashimi & a California roll. There was plenty of food to go around! We will definitely be back soon! Don't let the exterior...

Usually when I come to yabis , it's good I have no complaints the food is delicious, I'm full when I leave but this time I came, I ended up taking my food home with me. I asked for more than one little cup of white sauce they come back and tell me that it's only one per to go order or something, and I told them whatever I want to more I'll pay for them if I have to, and then I asked them if they have to go drinks and she said yes and I asked for a fresh Coke. she comes back with a cup filled about a quarter way up with Coke, no ice, and then dumps my old Coke to fill it up... not to mention my waitress that I had was very short and would cut me off when I was trying to explain something about how I wanted my order and when I asked her for something she actually had the audacity to put her hand up to make me stop talking. Needless to say she didn't end up getting a tip and I don't think I'll be back to yabis. — at...
