EDITING TO ADD: THIS PLACE IS A SCAM DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! The hotel is refusing to refund our money after they refused to let us stay there because they “didn’t get our payment from the online booking”. They even admitted that their employee James was wrong and should have accommodated us and let us stay there considering we already paid for the room, but they won’t give us our money back because it’s “non refundable”. They have been extremely rude to everyone who has reached out to them and tried to solve to issue from the booking site.* I decided to book a last minute room at this hotel last night since we were traveling and it was getting late and we were tired. I booked the room and paid for it online no problem. Called the hotel to make sure it was okay if we check in late and the woman on the phone said it was fine we could check in til 2 AM. We finally arrive to the hotel at 1:30 AM and the guy at the front desk says he doesn’t see that we have a reservation at all even though the room has been paid for and I have the confirmation number. He finally says he found the reservation and then informs me that there is a $75-$100 deposit that was not listed anywhere when I booked the room. He said we couldn’t stay there if we didn’t pay it so I said fine and then he tells me even if I do pay the deposit we still won’t be able to stay there because they never got our payment for the room. I booked the room and paid for it 5 hours earlier and the money is gone from my account. I had no more money to just go book another room this was our only option for somewhere to sleep last night. The man named James at the front desk didn’t even try to help us and told us he didn’t know what to do cause he had never dealt with this before. Didn’t offer to call a manager to try to resolve the issue, and told us we had to leave and couldn’t stay there if we couldn’t pay for another room after we had already paid them for the first room. I explained to him that we had nowhere to go and were hours away from home and at this point it was 2AM. He said sorry not my problem and brushed us off. We had to drive hours home in the middle of the night because we had nowhere else to go and they took all the money we had. We still don’t even know if we’re going to get our money back. So I would say do not stay here, save your money. You’d literally be better off staying at the public camp site we drove passed otw home in the middle of nowhere. It was obvious I had paid for the room and had proof so James could have easily let us stay as we were literally going to sleep there for about 4-5 hours and then leave and then we could have resolved the issue in the morning when someone who knew how to do their job was there. Read moreI will like to first start off by saying they have some of the most unprofessional staff members I have ever meet in life. They showed no empathy, nor sympathy. I made reservations online and needed to cancel my reservation. The manager advised when I called I couldn’t cancel my reservation same day that I would have to cancel my reservations within 24 hours. If I’m not mistaken same day is still 24 hours. When I called to speak with the manager I was not able to explain my situation to him at all he was very rude interrupted me several times as well as over talked me. He would not let me speak at all before I could explain my situation. He advised that it was not his fault that I did not understand or read my agreement When I made the reservation. So when he hung up the phone on me I politely went up to the location where I encounter a female who stated that she did not know who was working that day or who I had spoken with she would not give me any names of the managers at that time and told me I will have to wait till Wednesday to speak with the direct manager. I’ve spoken with three different people in the same day they were all very rude with nasty attitudes they did not assist me at all, they more likely told me what they could not do for me instead of understanding my situation and trying to figure out how we could come up with a solution. They just rambled on about their rules and regulations and that there was nothing that they can do. Being that I am in a unfortunate situation this was very emotional for me as well as my two children who is also involved in this. What I will say is to every individual that works at this location I will advise you to be careful who you treat wrong because those tables will turn, you never know a person situation so before you start rambling off your rules and regulations listen, empathize or sympathize. Read moreOn May 14, I asked "Leon" what was the rate of a single bed room and he responded with $77.28. I left the building to promptly call my Aunt to borrow the money to get a room for the night considering I just got off. When I returned, two guests were checking in right in front of me. After they left, I asked Leon were there any wall outlets available inside and he said no so I asked were there any outside and he replied that he didn't know. I went searching for an outlet.
The first outlet I found happened to he in the same corridor leading to the two guests that checked in right before I spoke to Leon. Now, I can see why they WOULD think that I'm following them, but in no way was I. I was simply looking to charge my phone to pay for a room to lay my head for the night. I left that corridor because the charge wasn't working in that outlet so I went right near the washer and dryer where two individuals were doing laundry and asked nicely if I could just plug in my phone and they were absolutely cool with it. Leon comes around and asks to speak with me and I step to the side and he says, "What are you doing?" I responded by saying I'm trying to charge my phone so I can get the funds to get my room. He replied by saying that I was intimidating the same guests that checked in before me and I asked how was I intimidating anyone when I didn't speak to them? I was clearly minding my business. He then stated that he would not rent a room because of that which led to him stating maybe it was my look that intimidated them. (I'm Black with dreads...go figure.) I told him he should do a thorough investigation before coming at me hostile because he was simply taking the word of a guest that's already paid and not one that's trying to get a room. He then stated something that was totally wrong for him to say and I dare him to lie and say I'm lying. He stated, "Sir, if you don't leave the property, I'm going to call the cops. I don't know, maybe it's your look and you have a book bag. Young brothers like you get shot and killed for that". I told him to call because that's totally wrong. He refused to rent to me based on the fact that someone thought I was intimidating because of me being black with dreads. Federal law prohibits discrimination in a place of public accommodation.
