Read moreMy husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming Mediterranean restaurant that took our taste buds on a captivating journey. The highlight of our meal was an exquisite selection of butterfly shrimp, kofta, and shish kebab that left us thoroughly satisfied and eager for more. The butterfly shrimp was a true delight. The dish consisted of plump, succulent shrimp that had been delicately butterflied, allowing the flavors to infuse into every crevice. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned with a delightful blend of Mediterranean spices, giving them a rich and aromatic taste. The crispy outer coating provided a pleasant contrast to the tender flesh inside. Served with a tangy dipping sauce, the butterfly shrimp was an absolute treat and left us longing for another plate. The kofta, a classic Mediterranean dish made from ground meat, was a true masterpiece. The combination of finely minced meat, expertly blended spices, and fresh herbs created a symphony of flavors. Each bite of the kofta was juicy, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The grilled exterior added a smoky char that enhanced the overall taste. Accompanied by a refreshing tzatziki sauce and warm pita bread, the kofta was a true winner and definitely a dish we would order again.
The shish kebab was equally impressive. Skewered with succulent pieces of marinated meat and vibrant vegetables, the shish kebab was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The tender chunks of meat were bursting with flavor, having absorbed the marinade's essence. The colorful assortment of vegetables, including bell peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes, added a delightful crunch and freshness. Read moreWow! Amazing Mediterranean Food - Huge Portions & Great Service!
I don't usually write reviews, but this place is an exception! I was searching high and low on Google for good, affordable Mediterranean food with big portions. My friend had never tried it before, so I wanted to find a good spot. Scrolled through tons of options and landed on this one - something just felt right!
The service was fantastic. So patient, friendly, and helpful with explaining everything to my friend. We decided on the chicken and lamb plates. The price for the chicken was awesome, especially compared to other places. Plus, it's not a sit-down restaurant so I saved money on tipping (although they totally deserve it if you can swing it!).
But then the food came out, and WOW! The portions were HUGE compared to anywhere else. Seriously, I felt like I won the jackpot! The server brought this giant basket overflowing with fresh-baked pita bread - warm, fluffy, and incredible. It was like a bread miracle! We each grabbed a few pieces (maybe 6 total?), and it was plenty (I might have forgotten the exact number, oops!). The best part? No extra charge for all that amazing bread! Plus, it came with three different dipping sauces: the classic tzatziki, olive oil with hummus, and this insanely good garlic butter.
The meat portions were enormous, super flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Especially the chicken - I couldn't believe how much flavor it had on its own, no sauce needed! They gave us a ton of rice too, which I loved. The salad was a perfect Mediterranean mix with feta cheese, olives, and red onions. Usually, I devour all my Mediterranean food and never have leftovers, but this time? I had a whole plate to take home! I was SO stuffed, but the chicken was just too good to stop eating (seriously, chicken, wow!).
My friend, who has a huge appetite (athlete problems!), cleaned his plate too. The staff was amazing, kept checking in on us even though it's not a waiter service kind of place. It honestly felt like a full-service restaurant! If I lived closer, this would be my go-to spot, hands down.
Five stars for sure! The place was very clean, including the restrooms, and had a great Mediterranean vibe with the music videos playing.
