SoCo — Local services in Costa Mesa

Good times! The is the first time I have ever been to the The OC Mart Mix and I got to experience a special event. This is a small mall of vendors that you must check out for yourself. Every single store that I sampled had a very helpful staff.

Here are a few of my favorites:

N'Ice Cream: Soooo good. I am huge gelato/ Ice cream fan and you have my heart for sure.

Birdie Bowl and Juicery: This place was mighty tasty and the juice was good too. That was a joke I'm not that big of creep although Rodney thinks I am. But Rodney was showing of his Ladies' Man skills when we tried out this location. Great service! Add me! Also, good luck Rodney she's cute.

The Oyster Bar: I didn't get to try any oysters, but the grill cheese sandwich samples were delicious! I'm not really a fan of grilled cheese, but 5 different cheese blenders on sourdough how could I say no? And once again, Rodney spun his skills again. The player is a natural :).

It was a very fun event. I didn't really see any places that interested me. I still have some holiday shopping to do and this a great place where you can support local shops. I believe in supporting them, but I just didn't see anything good for a gift. It was nice seeing familiar faces and...

This place puts out a hippy, alternative, don't buy the standard stuff from big corporations that make all this money off of you. I find it so funny that the merchants and the people who go here put out that vibe, yet all the stores, including the farmers market are so incredibly expensive. Talk about people raping you in the wallet hole and making money off you.

You guys get that right?

And all the OC hipsters! A bit much to take. People are kind of "too cool" to be friendly and everyone sitting around has the face hole buried into some laptop, or cell phone. Add a healthy dose of bucket looking chicks and its the trifecta of people I don't want to be around. At least when you go to the big corporation malls like Fashion Island and South Coast, there is plenty of eye candy to look at.

On the positive side, a lot of the stores, especially home decor and item stores, have really cool stuff.

I just hate the whole vibe of this center. Don't get me started on the parking...

The OC Mix has something for everyone. The core of it is furniture, lighting, and interior design stores. It’s filled with eclectic stores and treasures.

The restaurants and bakeries are delicious. Green Leaf has eco- friendly food and great outdoor seating with fountains.

The portala coffee house has many variants of coffee and many places to sit and relax. The cheese store is also great.

The mixing glass has an amazing selection of craft cocktails, top notch bar tools. Their export Gabrielle brings on guest speakers. It’s an incredible experience with knowledge helpful employees.

Definitely stop there on your visit to the OC Mix

The Pirch is the most amazing Kitchen, bar and outdoor shopping experience.

You can test drive the showers with friends, explore amazing kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor items and more.

It’s good for designers and a visit there is always on our list. It’s just gorgeous.
