I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tacompadre in Santa Ana, and I can't stop thinking about the delicious tacos and nacho fries. This hidden gem is a true delight for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Mexican street food.

The star of the show was undeniably the tacos. Bursting with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients, they definitely reminded me of delicious tacos from Mexico City. From the succulent carne asada to the flavorful al pastor, each taco was a testament to Tacompadre's commitment to authenticity.

The nacho fries were a delightful surprise and a perfect accompaniment to the tacos. I chose pastor as my meat of choice and they were they were topped with cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The combination of textures and flavors was a party in my mouth, leaving me craving more.

What sets Tacompadre apart is not just the exceptional food but also the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The restaurant's dedication to authenticity shines through in every aspect, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking genuine Mexico City street food in Santa Ana.

Tacompadre has earned its spot as one of my go-to place for fresh and great tasting tacos in Santa Ana . If you're a taco enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates delicious, well-crafted food, do yourself a favor and pay a visit. Your taste buds...

Not sure why the high ratings. But this place lacks flavor and the meat was not good. I ordered. A taco, burrito, asada fries, and a queso taco. This place comes across as doing something new and innovative but it’s basic. The meat was gummy and not edible there was a huge piece of meat on top of the asada fries but it was so gummy that I couldn’t swallow it down. A lot of it was like that. The Queso Taco was the worst I’ve ever had. It’s not to go friendly because you basically have to add all the items you want on the food before you leave. They only had the salsa cups and no small bags. For such a pricey cost for the food they should have pre-prepared bags and Salsas. I only kind of liked 1 salsa. This to me is lazy service here is a gummy meat taco with a dried tortilla now go put the ingredients you want. If they had the bags then they were out and I couldn’t ask the person behind the counter as they were too busy talking about how great their menu is and what they will be doing next. I really wanted to like it but this is a no go place for me. I couldn’t find a...

I went on a Saturday, inside this structure there are several locations, and that seems very good to me, since in one place you have options of more restaurants. It reminds me of the markets in Mexico. That day the person who takes the orders was not there, so I had to wait for me to order. It took me 30 or 40 minutes to be able to take my order and give it to me to go. The orders come with rice and beans, the truth is that I only wanted the tacos. There are many areas of opportunity to improve this place, there should be someone serving if they do not want the customers to go to the store on the side or in front of them, for the price of the tacos I expected better quality of the meat, these had fat, I asked for the orders separated, and they did not put them as I asked, so I ate the mixed tacos at home, they did not take the precaution of separating the orders. This is why I got my score, I hope...

Tacompadre in Santa Ana is a total winner! Let me tell you, their quesabirria tacos are the stuff dreams are made of. The birria is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and they don't skimp on the filling. But the real star is the crunchy flour tortilla. It's the perfect balance of texture to the juicy goodness inside. Looking for something a little different? The suadero alambre is a must-try. The suadero (skirt steak) is cooked to perfection, and the whole thing is overflowing with melty cheese. They don't forget the veggies either, which adds a nice freshness to the dish. And to top it all off, don't miss the chocoflan. It's the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Creamy chocolate meets decadent flan in this delightful dessert. Overall, Tacompadre is a hidden gem in Santa Ana. Amazing food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

No idea why place is rated so high. If you want Midwest style Mexican in Santa Ana go here. You will be transported to a landlocked state. Tacos were bland and look nothing like their reference photos. Got two taco plates and the fries. Everything was very watery and unseasoned. Beans had no flavor and rice was super salty, no flavor. We got the birria, sweet pulled pork, carne asada, fried brisket. All of it was under seasoned and disappointing. They also messed up our taco order, but we couldn’t tell which was supposed to be which because flavors were so not distinctive and bland. Two star because they do have a salsa bar with good pickle pineapple and mole salsa. Fries were soggy and watery tasting from bad beans and gross nacho cheese. Bad ratio of fries and meat. You can get better elsewhere.
