I love the food here... but EVERYTIME I order food to go something is wrong or missing in my order. Most of the time luckily I'm near by since my house is close... but this time on my way to the hospital in Brea, I ordered food for me and my family to go of course and many things were wrong. I called to report it and the lady that answered was no longer the one that was there when I went. She said I could only get what was missed at the time that I received my ordered even after explaining to her my situation ood not being in the area. Unfortunately I can't go back there tonight so I lost my appetite and money. Very disappointed, but not eating less then 3 stars because I know that they're food is good.
Want my advice/recommendation? ALWAYS check your order before leaving if you're ordering to go because unlike other places they won't apologize nor try to make things right even with proof of receipt.
My advice to the owner.... Hire cashier's that know about customer service because the ladies that work here give people a bad attitude at times and aren't really too friendly. They look very unhappy when taking orders and just make it seem like they want to get you out of their line. To be honest the Taqueria de Anda cashier's (all guys) are way more friendly and attentive to their customers. Not once have I received a...
Read moreLove that this is a spot that stays open during the late night hours very close to where I live! There is an armed guard keeping the property safe from the freaky things (people) that come out at night. I ate the rolled taquitos that said it came with 3 on the menu but I received 4. I think that it was intentionally hooked up, it was shortly before they were about to close and even though they were, from the moment we went in until the moment we left we felt welcomed and not rushed out like some places where people can't help but do to you upon closing time bc they understandably want to go home. My old man got a carne asada burrito bc when he asked which would the host/cashier recommend.... Either the burrito vs the torta she responded the burrito and when he said asada or pastor she said asada. I liked the fact that she didn't hesitate to give us honest recommendations. He was satisfied with the generous amount of meat and the tenderness it had. Though he asked for light beans and not sure whether that was the reason for the heavy onions to accommodate the light beans but it could have used a little less onion so maybe he should say light onion in the future as well. As for my guacamole, it was made to my perfection I will be back for the taquitos! Great customer service ! Even though we are gringos...
Read moreWent here instead of a go-to place from my husband's childhood. I can't compare it because we'd never been here before, so I'm not sure if it's just because of COVID but the food was, very unfortunately, gross. We ordered about 16 tacos between 3 of us and a quesadilla without meat. The quesadilla was good. The asada had the consistency of stew meat; buche, lengua, carnitas, and cabeza all looked the same... EXACTLY the same. Same texture, color, consistency. Even the taste was the same (though we threw most of the food away because it just didn't taste good at all) The pastor was the only one you could tell apart from the others but that wasn't good either.
The food didn't take too long to come out given the current circumstances. It was Cash Only. The people working there seemed to be working hard and quickly, with not much friendliness at the register that day.
I was really disappointed; I guess I expected more coming out of Santa Ana but I guess you can't always trust a taqueria by it's neighborhood or by the Google rating. I like to try new places to see if the rating is right - in this case it was a no-go.
If you try it anyway, hope you have a better...
